This is where all the lidar scanners need to be placed.
If you enjoy visiting multiple maps for a single mission in Arc Raiders, we have something interesting for you. In the “Eyes in the Sky” quest, you’ll travel to three different maps to deploy lidar scanners. Success requires a bit of skill, luck, and a zipline . Let’s find out.
A successful extraction isn’t required to complete any part of the “Eyes in the Sky” mission . Therefore, you can access the objectives on the “Dam” and “Spaceport” maps with free gear. However, to reach the target location on “Sunken City,” you’ll need a zipline, so it’s best to be properly equipped for this stage.
When you’re ready to take on this task, follow the guide below.
The first Lidar scanner you need to deploy will likely prove to be the most dangerous. To complete this objective, you’ll need to visit the “Control Tower” point of interest (POI) in the center of the “Dam” map—an area with high activity and concentrated PvP.
This point is often swarming with PvP players and those trying to use keys to open doors inside the building. Keep this in mind, and don’t be surprised if you have to eliminate a few enemies along the way.
There are several entrances to the building, but one of the safest options is to approach it from the south. You should notice a staircase on the side of the building. Climb it to the main floor (don’t go all the way to the top).
Run down the long outer corridor to the door.
Once inside, continue straight ahead to find a hackable door. If someone has already been here, the door may already be open, as in the photo below. If not, you’ll need to hack it quickly and hope no one approaches from behind.
When the door opens, you will see ziplines leading up and down.
Use the zipline that leads upward, but before doing so, look directly above you and destroy all the turrets on the walls above – if you climb up before they are destroyed, they will tear you to shreds.
If someone has already been here, there might not be any turrets. This can be either good or bad. Since there’s a very popular key room on the floor above, someone might have already climbed up and entered it, and these players often set traps at the top of the zipline to warn themselves of potential threats.
If you get up and trigger the traps, it’s a good idea to immediately announce that you’re friendly and just on a mission to calm the other raiders. However, if the player turns aggressive, you might have to fight back. In the worst case, you’ll die and have to reload, but in the best case, you’ll eliminate the enemy and receive some good loot.
Regardless of how the situation unfolds, your goal isn’t the key room on the right in the linear hallway. Instead, follow the hallway to another hackable door at the top of the stairs. Opening it will grant you access to the Control Tower roof.
On the roof of the Control Tower, move forward and slightly to the left to spot a tripod. Approach it and interact with it to deploy the Lidar Scanner.
When you’re ready to extract, head back down the zipline. But be prepared for more raiders waiting below, expecting you to be full of loot from the key room. As always, don’t be surprised if a firefight breaks out.
The next Lidar Scanner needs to be placed on the Communications Tower in the eastern part of the Spaceport. This area is generally clear of other players, so it’s likely the easiest of the three to install.
Get to the Communication Tower and climb the yellow ladder up to the platform.
There is a tripod on the platform that can be interacted with to install a lidar scanner.
Go back down the stairs and evacuate when you are ready to return home.
The final lidar scanner needs to be placed at the top of the “Gallery” sign in the eastern part of the Sunken City. For this, you’ll need a zipline. Taking a couple of ziplines is always a good idea, as their installation can be tricky, and a spare will come in handy if you misplace it.
Approach the Gallery from the south side.
Climb onto the square building structures south of the Gallery.
Use the makeshift bridge here to get to the roof of the Gallery.
Use the zipline to grab onto the top of the “Gallery” sign, as shown in the photo below. If you set the zipline too low—for example, on a safety fence—you’ll simply fall instead of reaching the desired platform.
Climb the zipline. You may need to jump a bit to land properly, as going all the way to the end can easily send you flying over the fence and cause serious injury.
Once you reach the platform, interact with the tripod. Also, check the weapon crate that frequently appears here—there’s a chance to find a good weapon.
When you’re ready to complete the mission and return home, head to any extraction point and return to the Speranza.
