A new week means new Challenges in Arc Raiders ! This week, players will once again have to throw snowballs at enemies, destroy specific types of ARCs, and collect various resources across various maps.
If you’re looking to earn free Epic-level items, including potential blueprints, this week is a great chance to earn three stars in all Challenges. Remember: it’s best to complete these Challenges during double XP map events, such as Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, Hidden Bunker, or Cold Snap. This will significantly reduce the grind and risk associated with achieving three stars.
For this Challenge, you need to destroy at least seven Investigators during the Double XP event to earn three stars . While this can be done on any map except Stella Montis, I had the best results on the Cosmodrome . Specifically, the rooftops of the Departure and Arrival buildings on the west side provide excellent visibility.
This will allow you to easily spot passing Detectives and quickly eliminate them without any hassle, while remaining relatively safe due to the limited accessibility of this position. Remember: the Detective’s weak points are the three white panels —destroying two of them will cause him to crash to the ground.
As for weapons, I highly recommend anything with good range and powerful damage. Therefore, the Renegade, Anvil, or Ferro are ideal choices , as they can quickly take down the Investigator before they can call for reinforcements.
Also consider bringing one or two Distraction Grenades with you in case the Investigator does manage to call for help.
Did you really think you were done throwing snowballs in ARC?
Luckily, this will be significantly easier than last week, as it’s much easier to hit the Ramparts with snowballs. To start, visit any Cold Snap event and look for snowdrifts with sticks sticking out of them. You’ll need at least 20 snowballs to get three stars, but I recommend collecting around 25-30 to be on the safe side.
You can now either find Bastion on the current map or leave it with snowballs and transfer them to another map during the Double XP event. If you plan to do this during the Cold Snap, I recommend the Blue Gate map, as Bastion almost always appears in the underground transport tunnel . This will also protect you from the Frostbite effect.
The secret is to shoot Bastion in the leg, destroying the yellow joints, and then pelt him with snowballs while he’s stunned.
You can also pop out from cover, throw a few snowballs, and then hide again before he starts shooting. I recommend doing this from a safe spot, such as a high point or a building where Bastion can’t follow you.
This Challenge is closely related to the previous one. For it, you need to completely destroy Bastion when it’s at full health . During the double XP event, this will earn you three stars, but only if the ARC wasn’t seriously damaged before your attack. A good rule of thumb: if you see black smoke, just try again and find a completely undamaged Bastion.
As for maps, I find Blue Gate or Buried City to be the most convenient for quickly finding Bastions. As mentioned, on Blue Gate, a Bastion is guaranteed to spawn in a transport tunnel, making it easier to find and destroy. Alternatively, in Buried City, Bastions can usually be found outside of Rose Square or inside Marano Park.
Another great spot is the Cosmodrome during the Hidden Bunker event, as Bastion always spawns outside the bunker in the southwest. Furthermore, if he’s already been killed, a new one will spawn around the 23-minute mark!
The easiest way to kill Bastion is to equip a Srok mine and a Distraction Grenade . Without revealing yourself to Bastion, throw the grenade behind him to make him turn around. When he reacts to the sound, quickly run up and plant the mine on him. Take cover and let the Srok mine detonate to instantly kill Bastion.
Alternatively, you can always shoot Bastion’s legs to disable him, then climb up and plant the mine. However, you’ll need to be close to Bastion when you shoot off his leg to have time to climb up and plant the explosive!
For those with limited resources, bring an Anvil, Renegade, or Ferro. Focus on shooting off its legs and keeping the ARC stunned. Its main weak point is the yellow core on its back , which is easy to hit when it’s missing a few legs and has trouble turning around while you’re running around.
This week’s toughest challenge: you need to search three separate supply drops in a single match . Easier said than done, as not only do they reveal your position when called, but they also take a while to land.
I highly recommend doing this challenge on the Buried City map , as its compact size allows for quicker access to several drop-off points (shown above).
Watch for yellow flares that fly into the air—they mark the approximate location where the cargo itself will land.
You can use this to visit other supply drops that other Raiders have called in, as progress in this Challenge counts for searching containers, even if you weren’t the one who originally called them in!
The final Challenge of the week tasks you with collecting plants on any map. However, not all plants are eligible: only mullein, mushrooms, agave, and moss will count toward your progress. You need to collect 14 plants during the double XP event to earn three stars, so it’s best to do this on a few specific maps to ensure you’ve collected the required number.
I recommend Spaceport, Dam Battleground, or Buried City, as they each have good areas with high plant density.
At the Cosmodrome, focus your search in the trenches in the far north —several types of plants can be found along the small stream that runs through this area.
The Gallery in the Buried City is another popular choice for this Challenge. It’s plentiful with Mullein, and you can typically collect around 10-12 plants across three different floors. Combine this with the plants in Marano Park and around the edges of the map, and you’ll easily reach the required 14 for three stars.
Finally, the Dam Battlefield is a great option and my personal choice if you can spawn in the western swamp near the Hydroponics Facility. Inside the domes are large cylindrical towers, often containing 1-2 mosses. Combined with all the mushrooms and mullein in the forest, it’s easy to quickly gather enough foraged plants to complete this challenge.
