Catcher specializes in protecting the team and inflicting a variety of powerful physical effects on enemies, making him a valuable operator. Combine him with stronger physical damage dealers, and he will effectively protect the team while the main operator destroys enemies.

The best operators for Catcher’s team
- Main Team : Catcher, End Administrator, Chen Qianyu, Border Guard.
- Alternate Team : Catcher, End Administrator, Chen Qianyu, Akekuri.
Catcher thrives in a physical team, where the focus is on physical damage and inflicting vulnerabilities. Paired with Administrator and Chen Qianyu, Catcher plays a defensive role, inflicting status effects while his allies finish off enemies with additional damage.
The fourth slot depends on the available Operators. Akekuri helps restore SP by speeding up the use of allies’ powerful attacks, but if you manage to get him, Border Guard is much preferable in this case—he restores more SP and deals more damage.
It is not recommended to include Catcher in elemental damage-focused teams, as his physical buffs and damage are of little help to operators focused on arts and elemental effects.
Catcher’s Abilities Overview and Upgrade Priorities
- Basic Attack (Combo) “Basic Tactics .” Despite his defensive focus, Catcher is capable of delivering a significant counterattack. His basic combo consists of four heavy attacks, each increasing the damage of the previous one: 79%, 87%, 122%, and a powerful finishing move dealing 160% physical damage. This combo allows him to keep his opponents engaged and maintain pressure between key abilities.
- Aerial Attack . The attack while falling hits an area around the target, dealing 180% damage. A great tool for a dramatic entrance into combat and instantly capturing aggression when attacking from above.
- Finishing Move . When an enemy’s stamina bar is completely depleted, Catcher performs a devastating finishing move, dealing 900% damage and instantly restoring Skill Points. This allows for continued defensive rotation without delay.
- Combat skill “Hard Interdict .” Catcher raises his shield and assumes a defensive stance. In this state, he blocks up to 90% of incoming damage, immediately restores 30 SP, and increases the defense of himself and nearby allies, significantly reducing incoming damage to the party.
- Counterattack . The key feature of this skill. Upon successfully parrying an enemy attack with precise timing, Catcher immediately counters with a strike, dealing 400% physical damage and inflicting Vulnerability. An ideal way to punish aggressive opponents and especially dangerous bosses .
- The “Timely Suppression” combo skill is a passive “lifesaving” skill that activates automatically. The skill is triggered in two situations: when an enemy begins charging a powerful ability or when any ally’s health drops below 40%. The Catcher instantly attacks the target, dealing a total of 55% + 225% physical damage and applying a shield to themselves and the affected ally. The shield’s strength scales with Willpower and is calculated as 810 + 5.06 × Willpower. This ability literally pulls the team out of critical situations, but has a long cooldown of 35 seconds, so it should be used wisely.
- Super Skill “Exemplary Assault .” Catcher unleashes a series of three sweeping strikes with 200%, 270%, and 400% damage multipliers, knocking enemies down with the Knockdown effect and applying the Weakening debuff, reducing their damage by 30%. An excellent tool for neutralizing dangerous targets or crowd control.
When leveling up Catcher, prioritize upgrading his defensive skills, especially his combat skills to boost his shield. Then, upgrade his super skill and combo skills, and save his basic attack for last, as many other operators deal significantly more damage.
Gradually, as you acquire more copies of Catcher from banners and level up his Potential, you’ll unlock his combat talents. The first grants additional defense for each point of Willpower, while the second enhances his super skill, creating shockwaves that deal physical damage to all enemies within range.
