Equipment and design

The Bloody R73 Ultra Duo comes in a decent-sized cardboard box that features a picture of the mouse and its docking station, along with a list of its features, including a dual receiver, Alpha 20K sensor, WaveLink connectivity, RapidSnap Rebound support, and more.

Inside the box, the mouse, docking station, receiver, and two adapters (USB-C and USB-A) are placed on a plastic tray. Under the tray are two 1.8-meter USB-A to USB-C cables (one braided and one non-braided), a set of spare glides, a set of grips, and a user manual in Russian. The kit is, frankly, impressive—especially the inclusion of two cables and a charging station, a rarity in the mid-price segment.

The model features an asymmetrical body, elevated on the left side and steeply sloped to the right, designed for right-handed users. The mouse is quite large, and its height promotes a palm grip. The ergonomics are excellent: the device is comfortable to hold and doesn’t slip out of your hands. The left and right buttons also feature small recesses for fingertip placement.

The mouse has seven buttons: left and right, two additional buttons on the left side, two on the back behind the wheel, and one in the scroll wheel. The buttons are large and press with a noticeable click. The scroll wheel has small notches and scrolls with tactile feedback.

The back of the Bloody R73 Ultra Duo is adorned with an image of Nyx Mirage—a powerful cyborg, according to Savage Impact mythology, capable of transforming into unstoppable warriors with an arsenal of powerful weapons. The brand name is engraved on the right side of the case.

The base of the mouse houses five Teflon feet, an optical sensor “eye,” a connection mode switch (USB receiver and docking receiver), contacts for connecting to the charging station, and a magnetically covered compartment for storing a USB dongle. The USB-C port on the front of the case is reinforced with a plastic lip.

The docking station features a USB-C port, and four LEDs on its top indicate the mouse’s battery level. Notably, the desktop station serves not only as a charger but also as a wireless receiver for the mouse. Simply connect the station to your PC and slide the switch on the base of the mouse to the appropriate position. If you need to take the Bloody R73 Ultra Duo with you, say to a computer club , you can leave the docking station at home and grab the included USB dongle.

Connection and setup

The new product supports both wired and wireless 2.4 GHz radio connections. Bluetooth is not supported. WaveLink technology provides interference protection and transmits the signal up to three times per ms, ensuring a highly stable connection.

To configure the model, you need to download the application from the official website. The software contains several tabs where you can remap keys, set CPI and polling rate, manage macros, update the mouse and dongle firmware, and configure system settings such as double-click speed and scroll speed.

Three profiles are provided for saving settings, so you can create three presets for the Bloody R73 Ultra Duo and switch between them: for example, if you use different settings and macros for work tasks, shooters and MMORPGs .

Impressions of use

The mouse features an Alpha 20K gaming sensor with adjustable resolution—from 400 to 2000 CPI out of the box, and from 50 to 20,000 CPI via software. The polling rate ranges from 125 to 1000 Hz, the tracking speed is 350 ips, and the acceleration is 40 g.

The sensor performed excellently: during a week of testing, in work tasks and intensive games, on all surfaces and in various scenarios, whether it was spray shooting or carefully aiming with a sniper rifle, there were no interruptions, stutters, or any issues related to the stability of the device.

The model uses patented RapidSnap Rebound technology, which maintains a noticeable tactile feedback with every keystroke. The microswitches under the main keys are rated for 30 million clicks—enough for several years of use.

The mouse’s built-in battery has a capacity of 300 mAh. Real-world battery life is close to the rated performance—approximately 75 hours, or about a week when using the mouse 10 hours a day. A full charge takes an hour and a half, but just 15 minutes of charging provides up to 20 hours of battery life.

Conclusion

The Bloody R73 Ultra Duo is a good gaming mouse with a comfortable body shape, a cute print that adds a fresh touch to its design, impressive accessories, a reliable, durable sensor, and decent battery life.

Speaking of disadvantages, one can note the large size and weight – however, this is more a matter of taste than a real complaint about the model, since users have different preferences, and someone, on the contrary, may consider the large dimensions an advantage.

It’s a decent option for gaming and work, and a nice bonus is the docking station, eliminating the need to constantly plug in the charging cable. We think the Bloody R73 Ultra Duo is worth considering, but the final decision is ultimately yours.

Pros
  • Impressive equipment
  • Convenient body shape
  • Nice design
