Sealed Abyssal Artifacts in the southern Crimson Desert
The map below shows all the artifacts in this part of the region. For convenience, they are numbered as if you were moving from the south, crossing the border with Delessia.
Artifact 1: When Lightning Strikes II
- Location: The road northeast of Drywind Valley, where the glitched Ancient Ruins are located. At least, they’re not the Ancient Ruins from the Challenge Log, and no one online has figured out what to do here. Look for the “Drywind Valley” sign on the map: the road you need is above and to the right of it, across the river. The altar is in the middle of a large fork where the roads diverge.
- Challenge: Neutralize 3 enemies with a firearm from a distance of more than 5 meters in 5 seconds.
Artifact 2: Song of the Moon-Eating Sword
- Location: Road south of Arkos. Or just upstream from the Drywind Valley sign on the map, across the river. From the previous artifact, simply follow the road west. The altar will be near the path you’re following.
- Test: While clinging to the wolf , stab it 6 times in a row with a knife.
Artifact 3: Golden Crown Contract
- Location: South of the desert mercenary camp. From the tent icon at the indicated location, head straight down and to the crossroads slightly to the left. The altar is located right at the crossroads.
- Challenge: Deliver goods for the Royal Court to Ernand, Demeniss, Delesia, and Varnia.
Artifact 4: Special Weapon: Thunder Spear
- Location: Trail northwest of the Arcos plateau.
- Challenge: Kill 30 enemies using the Thunder Spear. Or head northeast from the previous artifact and the Desert Mercenary tent.
Artifact 5: After death, animals…
- Location: Crossroads west of the tent marking the “Gloomy Forest” enemy camp on the map. Or northeast of another enemy camp, the Bordiga Ruins.
- Test: Extraction of thin, thick, strong, short- furred and long-furred animal skins by skinning.
Artifact 6: Harmonious Hooves X
- Location: Southwest of the T in the Crimson Desert region on the map. The altar is along the road. Or west of the Crimson Mountains sign on the map, opposite the N in the first word (on the left).
- Challenge: Taming the legendary mounts Royler, Rocade and Kamora.
Artifact 7: Touching All That Is
- Location: Between the Hyena Den and Crimson Ridge Fortress . Both areas are hostile by default. Or directly down from the letter “P” in TASHKALP on the map. The altar is located near the road under the mountain.
- Challenge: Steal in Hernanda, Demenisse and Delesia.
Artifact 8: Falling Fortress
- Location: Ridge north of the settlement of Tommaso, the altar is located along the road.
- Challenge: Destroy 3 watchtowers in 20 seconds.
Artifact 9: Hunter’s Code
- Location: Road north of Tommaso. The intersection is above the first A in TASHKALP on the map.
- Challenge: Eliminate 3 hyenas without moving more than 20 meters.
Artifact 10: Hail of Shells V
- Location: West exit of Tommaso. Specifically, in the southwest part of Tommaso, look for a “cage” icon where captured criminals are to be delivered. To the left of this icon, as you exit the city, is a stone altar containing a sealed Abyssal Artifact.
- Challenge: Destroy 2 watchtowers with a hand cannon in 10 seconds.
Artifact 11: When Lightning Strikes I
- Location: On the road, at the crossroads north of the Left Eye watchtower.
- Challenge: Neutralize 5 enemies with firearms from a distance of more than 30 meters.
Artifact 12: Top of the Food Chain
- Location: The altar is located along the road east of the Abode of Enlightenment. Or to the left of the “Sovereign Wastes” sign on the map.
- Challenge: Kill 3 herbivores, defeat 3 predators , neutralize 3 omnivores.
Artifact 13: Special Weapon: Knuckle Duster
- Location: Fork west of Tommaso. If you found the previous artifact, simply follow the same road north to the nearest fork.
- Challenge: Hit a target with the overheated blast from the Brass Knuckles 5 times.
Artifact 14: Obtain Wood
- Location: The altar is located under a tree along the road east of Burkhum. It’s below and to the right of the Well of Patience on the map. Head straight down from the “S” in the “Forebearer’s Barrens” inscription in the first word.
- Challenge: Collect 5 pieces of regular, high-quality, and flawless wood.
Artifact 15: Bow Aimed at Destiny IV
- Location: Western outskirts of Burkhum. The Ring Road (its intersection) is to the left of two landmarks—the Well of Reflections and the Desert Ruins .
- Challenge: Shoot 3 birds with a bow from a distance of less than 15 meters.
Sealed Abyssal Artifacts in the northern Crimson Desert
The screenshot below shows all the latest Sealed Abyssal Artifacts you can find in the game.
You need to look for them along the Salt Road – the main route from Urdava to Varnia, the most distant city in the game.
Artifact 1: With the Flow
- Location: At the crossroads near the Great Gate of Urdava, which is below the first A in URDAVAH on the map.
- Challenge: Swim 100 meters at full speed without stopping.
Artifact 2: When Lightning Strikes III
- Location: From the word URDAVAH on the map, head north along the road from the first letter A. If you found the previous artifact, simply head north along the only path.
- Challenge: Hit 3 targets in 1 second with a pistol.
Artifact 3: Cooking
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous two artifacts. The altar is located off the road, near a shallow pool.
- Challenge: Craft 3 dishes using a field cooking tool. Craft 3 dishes that can only be prepared using special cooking tools.
Artifact 4: Seven Strikes in a Row
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous three artifacts. The altar is located at the roundabout near the Salt Road enemy camp.
- Challenge: Hit enemies with Palmara Strike 9 times within 5 seconds.
Artifact 5: Debunked Myth
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous four artifacts. The altar is located at the roundabout near the Salt Road enemy camp.
- Challenge: Skin a Silverfang, Polar Bear, Whitescale Crocodile, and Icefang Polar Bear after a hunt .
Artifact 6: Special Weapon: Propeller Spear
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous artifacts. The altar is located along the road, on the left if you’re heading towards Varnia.
- Challenge: Hit 5 enemies simultaneously with the Propeller Spear’s wind attack.
Artifact 7: Hands are faster than the eyes
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous artifact. The altar is located to the right of the road, next to ancient ruins and the Trader’s Expanse sign.
- Challenge: Steal and hide 5 items in your inventory within 10 seconds.
Artifact 8: Special Weapon: Flamethrower
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous artifacts. The altar is located above the “R” in the Trader’s Expanse sign on the map, closer to the ruins at the turnoff on the Salt Road.
- Challenge: Burn 10 enemies with a flamethrower in 15 seconds.
Artifact 9: Hidden Banner
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous artifact. The altar is located to the right of the road if you’re heading north to Varnia. If you reach the Varnia Gate, you’ve gone too far.
- Challenge: Defeat 10 Bannermen in the Demeniss region within 30 minutes.
Artifact 10: Meteor in the Dark
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous artifacts. The altar is located under a stone arch above the Warnia Gate.
- Challenge: Destroy 2 gates of the palisade wall at night.
Artifact 11: Rainbow Mane
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous artifacts. The altar is located in front of the entrance to Varnia (on the left, past the bridge).
- Challenge: Study the dyeing techniques of all the dye masters. 7 objects in total.
Artifact 12: Master of Destruction
- Location: Continue along the same road where you found the previous artifacts. The altar is located at the intersection below the letter N in VARNIA on the map.
- Challenge: Hit enemies with Meteor Strike 30 times within 3 minutes.
