The “A Safehouse in the Hills” update added the KnoWay Out mission series to GTA Online. You’ll team up with hacker Avi Schwartzman to take down a company using self-driving cars to spy on Los Santos. It all starts with a mysterious message telling you to answer a payphone at the Xero gas station on Calais Ave. If you’re having trouble finding the location, here’s a detailed explanation.
Where is the Xero payphone on Calais Ave in GTA Online?
To respond to the mysterious text message, you need to get to the payphone at the Xero gas station on Calais Avenue. Don’t worry if you don’t know its location—once you receive the message, the location will be marked on your map. As shown in the image above, it’s marked with an icon with the letter “A” (Avi Schwartzman). This hacker, who you may have already worked with during the heists, is trying to disrupt KnoWay’s surveillance system.
After answering the phone on Calais Ave, other active payphones will appear on the map, also marked with the letter “A.” Visit them and answer Avi’s calls to complete a series of five KnoWay Out missions:
- Negative Press
- Inside Job
- Tunnel Vision
- Trash Talking
- A Clean Break
In all of these missions, you’ll sabotage KnoWay’s fleet of self-driving cars and their network to bring down the company. If you complete the final mission, “A Clean Break,” as a leader in the first week after the update’s release, you’ll complete the weekly challenge and receive a GTA$400,000 bonus.
Additionally, if you own at least one mansion from this update, completing the entire KnoWay Out mission series will unlock the GTA Online side quest “Home Sweet Home” featuring Michael. Afterward, expect a message from Avi Schwartzman inviting you to take on this job.
