This is connected to one of Life Is Strange: Reunion’s bonus achievements, “I’m Not a Rat,” which requires convincing Joey that you’re also participating in the protest. This missable achievement requires playing the part of a true detective and choosing the right dialogue options when talking to Joey.
How to Convince Joey You’re in on the Protest, Too
There are three “tasks” in this episode, but only two of them will actually help convince Joey. The first is to join the protest group, and the second is to gain access to the online forum. After that, you can talk to Joey, and if you choose the right dialogue options, he’ll believe you’re on their side.
How to join the ranks of protesters
The first thing you need to do is find the protesters. The easiest way is to talk to Ren, who’s standing to the right of the stage. Exhaust all dialogue options to learn more about the online forum they used to coordinate their actions. You’ll also learn that there may be leaflets from the previous meeting lying around somewhere.
Turn 180 degrees, head back, and head toward the fireplace on the other side of the room. To the left of the fireplace, you’ll find a trash can. It contains a charred piece of a leaflet, which, fortunately, still contains the forum password.
How to access the online forum
Approach the bar and talk to Amanda. Mention the online forum—she’ll tell you it can only be accessed with the password. You’ll then have a dialogue option where you can say you know the password. Amanda will then offer to use her laptop .
You can now browse the message board and select highlighted page elements to hear Chloe’s thoughts. Note:
- usernames,
- the forum’s motto at the top of the page,
- an excuse from one of the participants for why he did not come to the last meeting.
These details will come in handy very soon!
How to convince Joey
Now that you have access to the forum, you can talk to Joey. He’s standing alone between the bar and the fireplace where you found the burnt leaflet. During the conversation, choose the following options:
- I am CardinalSin.
- Bowling league.
- Sic semper tyrannis.
After this, Joey will believe Chloe Price is a protester and begin to trust you. He’ll share important information about the location and time of their next meeting and march.
This will also earn you the “I’m Not a Rat” achievement, which is easily missed if you choose the wrong answers in the conversation with Joey. Persuading Joey isn’t a key choice in the game, but it will help Max and Chloe in their investigation of the events in Caledon.
If you get your answers wrong, you can always use the scene selector in the main menu and try again. The same applies to the “It’s Kind of Cute” achievement.
