Playing Guitar in Zaychik: The Correct String Order

Guitar Playing is an interactive scene in Polina’s route in Zaychik. Polina attends a music class and has mastered a variety of instruments. Inviting Anton over, she offers to tutor him, introducing him to the arts.

To access this route, you must stand up to Semyon and refuse the treat twice at the end of Episode 4. Once the protagonist becomes the school’s hero, they must agree to take Polina home. This guide will explain which strings to press to successfully perform the song and how to obtain all the trophies in the minigame.

How to find out the string order

 

First, Polina plays the melody in its entirety, then plucks the strings and pauses briefly. After that, she carefully plucks one string —it’s important to remember exactly that one—and continues playing at an accelerated tempo until the next stop. The string order remains the same from one lick to the next.

How to play the guitar correctly in Episode 5

After listening to the teacher, Anton independently repeats the beginning of the melody and stops: at this point, the game prompts you to choose a number. If you make a mistake, Polina will give you another try.

The first melody

At the beginning of training, the order of strings is as follows:

1. Sixth.
2. The fourth.
3. Third.
4. Second.

Second melody

Continuing to play, Polina will add a few more chords, making the task more difficult:

1. First one.
2. Fifth.
3. Sixth.
4. Fifth.
5. First one.

The third melody

Finally, the longest and most varied sequence is used:

Guitar achievements in Zaychik

Depending on whether Polina succeeds in playing the guitar, Tiny Bunny awards one of four trophies:

• “Davie504” managed to perfectly repeat the girl’s words without making any mistakes.
• “Bard” – the composition was completed, but with some inaccuracies.
• “Punk” – the sound of the song is intentionally ruined by clicking on the wrong option.
• “The Talentless One” – unlocked when you refuse to play a musical instrument.

Anton’s success in his new hobby has no impact on the further plot and is needed solely to add to the atmosphere and obtain all the trophies.
