In the visual novel Tiny Bunny, the protagonist, sixth-grader Anton, encounters several mysterious characters wearing animal masks. In this guide, we’ll try to figure out who’s hiding behind these masks.
The first episode of “Bunny” features a disturbing television report: a newscaster reads a summary of the brutal events that took place deep in the forest. It directly mentions the death of a little girl named Ksenia, known to everyone as Senya. According to the report, she was killed by a wild animal.
If you look closely at Ksenia’s appearance, or more specifically, her eyes, and then compare them to the eyes of Alice the fox , you’ll notice a resemblance. It’s not immediately obvious, but becomes apparent upon comparison. For contrast, just look at the eye designs of Katya and Polina—they’re completely different. This suggests that the similarity between Senya and Alice may not be coincidental.
If we accept that Ksenia is Alice, the theory takes on a downright mystical tone. In that case, it all begins with Senya’s disappearance or murder. According to the theories already expressed, the girl is then possessed by the Master of the Forest, turning her into one of his figures.
It’s worth recalling an important detail from the narrative: although the animals resemble children, they aren’t limited by their physical dimensions and can change their height. This explains why Lisa can appear older and larger than Senya did in life.
However, Katya is the most likely candidate for the role of Alisa, since Ksenia could be none other than Sovushka. Her voice is similar to Alisa’s. She also says she always goes to school . On the other hand, we’ve seen the fox all along, from the very beginning, but Katya hasn’t disappeared yet.
In the first two episodes, the player never directly encounters either the Bear or the Wolf, but the image of the Owl flickers constantly . Olya’s hysterics make it clear that it is the Owl circling near the house and frightening her. The discovery of the missing Vova’s glove serves as additional evidence.
There’s reason to believe Vova is the mysterious beast’s second victim. Interestingly, he wasn’t in the same class as Anton and the others, meaning he was younger. We never see him directly, but if we compare Owl’s size with the other beasts, we can see that the masked figure is shorter than the Fox, the Wolf , and the Bear.
The second theory is that Ksenia, who also disappeared at a young age, is hiding behind the mask of Sovushka.
With Bear, it’s much simpler: almost from the very beginning, it was speculated that Semyon Baburin was hiding behind the mask. There are simply no other large children in the game.
It’s the Wolf who kills Romka in the fourth episode if you follow Polina’s path and take the amulet. However, we see him before, so this option is ambiguous.
The second version is that Vova, who had previously disappeared, is hiding under the mask of Volchik, since we meet the wolf in the forest immediately after we learn about the disappearance and find the mitten.
Everything is clear here, it can only be Anton Petrov, the main character of the game.
The source of the curse itself is a certain entity that gives children animal masks and in exchange takes away their human nature, fulfilling their deepest desires.
