Prison is the first chapter in Little Nightmares . Players must explore this place to escape and move on to the next location. Chapter one offers a hidden achievement, as well as the start of others that will be completed in subsequent chapters if the player is attentive enough. This is a complete walkthrough of Chapter One of Little Nightmares .
After waking up from a nightmare, go to the right of the suitcase and light the lantern .
Open the hatch and go through the vent to climb the tall ladder. Go into the nearby corner and find a statue . Pick it up and throw it to destroy it.
Crawl through the hole and approach the bed. Jump on it six or more times to unlock the “Springy” achievement .
Jump out the window and move the chair under the long legs next to the door. Climb onto the chair and hang from the handle to open the door.
Go to the other side and open the fridge to find Noma .
Follow him through the small hole on the right and light the second lantern . Then hug Nome to begin the “Little Lost Things” trophy.
Climb onto the refrigerator shelves and run along the platform, avoiding the leeches.
Before you climb onto the box, go to the right corner closest to the camera and light the third lantern .
Use the box to jump and pull the lever, opening the nearby door.
Jump across the platforms and move the bottommost plank to crawl underneath it.
In the next room, the boards under Sixth will break, but don’t panic – this is supposed to happen.
To escape the leeches, use zig-zag running and jumping, and at the end of the path, push the board away.
Jump to another platform and light the fourth lantern .
Climb the ladder and carefully walk across the plank—you could fall and die. Reach the lever and pull it to fully open the door opposite.
Release the lever and quickly run to the door, sliding under it as it closes.
Crawl through the hole and move forward to climb the makeshift rope to a higher window while the Overseer drags something above you.
Before moving on, light the fifth lantern in the left corner of the room.
Once you enter the next room, close the door and drag the box of tissues away to pull the lever and turn off the electric bars.
Quickly run across the playground and get to safety. At the other end of the hallway is an eye that can paralyze Six if she’s in its line of sight. Use objects to avoid its gaze, or run behind it, out of its reach.
Climb the boxes and light the sixth lantern .
Climb up using the cage bars and then drop down to the right to go through the cage where Nome was running.
Hug the second Nome in Chapter 1 and light the seventh lantern .
Climb the cages again and head left to find a creepy room with black spots. Destroy the second statue .
Continue right to reach the nursery and hide under the bed. The Overseer will soon appear and begin pacing the room.
Sneak to the right side while crouching, quickly climb up the cages, jump onto the shelf and crawl through the window.
Soon after Six escapes the vent, her hunger becomes unbearable.
Approach the child in the dining room and eat the bread he offers.
Cross the bridge, but your path will be blocked by electric bars. Climb the nearby bars to light the eighth lantern .
Wait for the box to swing to the right and jump on it. Climb the chains and jump to the right side.
Climb the cages and pull the lever to raise the crate. Move the lower lever to the right until the crate hits the platform, then move it to the left.
Quickly jump onto the box and wait for it to move to the left. Climb the chain and jump to the left side.
Pull out the leftmost drawer and the one above it. Use them to climb higher and jump to the right side. Pull the lever to completely cut the power.
Go through the bars and light the ninth lantern . Then open Nome’s cage and follow him into the previous room to hug him.
Push the weights through the hole and jump to grab the rope. Don’t let go until the last moment, as Six could die from the fall.
The next room, full of leaking shower heads, is now infested with leeches, so jump to avoid them.
Pass through the previously electrified grates to eventually reach another paralyzing eye. Use the shadows cast by objects to hide, and finally, follow the shadow of a moving cart to safely reach the other side.
As soon as Six jumps onto the bridge, it will begin to close. Quickly reach the other side and jump onto the crate to reach the upper platform.
Go through the gate surrounded by a pair of Nomes to complete the first chapter, “Prison,” in Little Nightmares.
