Their appearance is not guaranteed, but they are only worth looking for on the first map, Troska , which is explored during the first half of the game. They are usually found in the Zheleyev and Takhov areas , always near main roads , often near characteristic cliffs.

To the northwest of Zheleyevo

One confirmed location is northwest of Zheleyev along the main road, with a lake to the left . As you move further, you’ll see the water give way to a swamp, and to the right, sitting under a tree , should be Yarda and his companion. There’s usually a nest nearby. If they’re not there, try skipping a time or waiting a day—they’ll appear sooner or later.

North of Apollonia

Some players have encountered this couple on the road heading north from Apollonia .

How to identify Yarda the Great and his friend

The pair are easy to recognize: Yarda the Great will be shirtless , with his hands wrapped for battle, while his friend will be dressed in exquisite purple clothing and a hat with peacock feathers .

Should you talk to Yarda the Great in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

As you approach, the couple will call out to Henry and offer to talk . This is essentially a trap —no matter which dialogue option you choose, a fistfight between Yarda and Henry will begin . Even if Henry refuses (“Pay respect” is just words, not money).

Fortunately, before starting a conversation, there is the option to refuse rudely – this will help avoid a fight.

If you agree to a fight, it won’t be fatal . You won’t win or lose anything except your pride, but any injuries you sustain will have to be treated at the nearest bathhouse. In this situation, you can always surrender. Even if Henry defeats Yarda, he won’t be able to search him —his friend will intervene and attack.
