Fallout 76: A Complete Chronological List of All Add-Ons and Updates

Since its release, Fallout 76 has experienced incredible ups and downs. Its disastrous launch is etched in gaming industry history, but even that didn’t stop the project from rising from its knees. Countless updates have transformed the game into a beloved MMORPG, and perhaps the best part of its journey to redemption is that every major content expansion released for Fallout 76 has been completely free for all players. In this article, we’ll review all the major add-ons in chronological order to help those looking to play through the content in sequence.

All Fallout 76 add-ons in chronological order

Content updates for Fallout 76 vary in scope. Most added new content, such as fishing or raids, while others fundamentally changed the gameplay and feel.

Before getting into the meat of this guide, it’s important to remember that there’s no strict order to complete quests in Fallout 76. You can play any storyline at any time (as long as the conditions are met), and if you stick to one storyline at a time, you’ll have no trouble understanding the story. The best way to get to know Fallout 76 is through organic exploration . If you’re not interested in the story of a particular expansion, you can safely skip it or postpone it without serious consequences.

Is Fallout 76 worth playing now?

Of course, but if you’re a fan of Fallout 4 or previous games in the series, it’s important to understand that Fallout 76 is still an MMORPG . The game has many social aspects and content designed for repeated playthroughs, though much of it can still be completed solo.

In terms of technical stability and polish, the game is in good shape. Fallout 76 is infamous for its disastrous launch, but it’s now quite playable. Many balance and quality-of-life issues have been addressed. While some rough edges remain, and the mandatory online connection may be inconvenient for some players, it’s definitely worth a try.
