Every day, a new task appears on the notice board next to the checkpoint where survivors arrive. Before checking on survivors, be sure to inspect the board and read the task carefully—the text always contains clues about what or who exactly to pay attention to. These tasks are usually related to one of the survivors who will arrive at the base that day.
Each assignment provides a vague description of the objective. Typically, the person’s age, gender, symptoms, and general condition are specified, and sometimes even prohibited items they may carry. Often, these prohibited items are not to be confiscated, but rather allowed into the camp.
Your task is to find the right person among the stream of survivors and strictly follow the instructions. For successful completion, you will receive $1,200, which can be invested in base development.
There are currently 19 different missions available in the game. More will likely be added in future updates.
Day 7 – Lazarus
- The main task : find Solomon ( the tablet indicates the name in Latin – Solomon).
- What needs to be done : quarantine.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “We’ve received information about a man named Solomon who claims to have survived three infections already. However, the database says he died about five years ago. If he shows up, quarantine him immediately.”
The first task is fairly straightforward. All you need to do is pay attention to the names of survivors on your tablet during routine checkpoint checks. If you’re unsure how to do this, press the C key to open the symptoms list and see their name in the upper left corner (or in the “Assignment” tab). Be sure to dispatch survivors associated with the tasks according to the instructions you receive. In Solomon’s case, he needs to be quarantined. Regardless of his symptoms!
Day 8 – Wanted: Face with a Black Eye
- Main objective : find a survivor with a battered face.
- What needs to be done : eliminate the target.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “Survivors say someone deliberately let zombies into their previous shelter. This person was beaten, but he escaped. We believe he will try to infiltrate this base as well. We cannot let him in.”
The second task asks you to find a person who is intentionally letting zombies into survivor camps. If you want to get the good ending and gather enough people for evacuation, it’s crucial to send the right person to eliminate them. In this case, make sure the survivor’s bruises are the same type as shown in the image below, and not red bruises or other skin discoloration.
Day 9 – Brotherhood
- Main task : do not confiscate the police baton.
- What needs to be done : the contraband has not been seized.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “If you see someone carrying a police baton, do not confiscate it. It belonged to an officer who died saving civilians, and it’s being taken to the hero’s family. We do not touch the belongings of the dead.”
I encountered a bug with this mission. Either there really isn’t anyone with a baton in the game, or I just don’t know what a baton looks like. I tried googling and searching online to check, and I really didn’t find a single baton among the survivors’ belongings. As a general piece of advice: other than contraband that looks like drugs, as well as weapons, ammunition, and possibly cutting objects, just don’t confiscate anything else. You might lose a few dollars, but you’ll gain more by completing the mission.
Day 10 – Under a Beautiful Wrapper
- Main task : find the chocolate bar.
- What needs to be done : the contraband has been seized.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “Scouts report that a smuggler has hidden infected tissue in a chocolate bar to smuggle out and sell. If you see him, confiscate the chocolate.”
It’s all pretty self-explanatory here. Below is a screenshot of what a chocolate bar looks like, just in case you don’t want to confuse it with something else.
Day 11 – Wanted: Saw
- Main task : find the saw.
- What to do : Eliminate the target.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “We’ve received information about a sadist who disembowels people alive. There’s no description available, but the maniac is likely carrying all sorts of torture instruments. Find and eliminate the target.”
You may encounter several people with backpacks containing various items. But your target is the survivor with two chainsaws: a gold collectible and a standard red one. Confiscate all the contraband for extra cash. Send the survivor to be eliminated.
Day 12 – Skeletons in the Closet
- Main task : Find a person living on Ash Bridge Street whose name begins with An.
- What to do : quarantine.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “Someone locked their infected family in the basement of a house on Ashridge Street. But eventually they broke out, and the person burned the house to the ground. Few documents survived, but we know the suspect’s name begins with ‘An…’ and he’s approximately 30 years old. If you encounter anyone matching this description, quarantine them.”
In most assignments, it’s important to carefully read the words in bold and check those requirements. In this case, the survivor we’re looking for won’t necessarily have a name starting with “An.” I replayed this day three times: the first and third times, both the street and the name matched, and the second time, only the street name matched. Simply quarantine anyone listed as being on Ash Bridge Street. And everything should be fine. If you’re still unsure, quarantine those who also have the same name.
Day 13 – Wanted: Arsonist
- Main objective : find explosive lemons.
- What to do : Eliminate the target.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “Someone stole our Molotov cocktails and burned the convoy. Five guards and eight civilians were killed. Even one cocktail would be enough to burn down the entire base. Stay alert.”
The Lemon Thief will be noticeably different from the other survivors. Other survivors may have green limes, but don’t confuse them. Our target will have a whole bunch of yellow lemons! By this point, you should already have a weapon, so you can eliminate the target by shooting them, sending them to the assassination site, or sending them to the lab. The method of elimination doesn’t really matter.
Day 14 – Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
- Main task : find a book on how to quit smoking.
- What to do : Confiscate the item.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “If you see someone with a book called ‘How to Quit Smoking,’ confiscate it. It’s a fake cover. In reality, the person is writing down every mistake our staff makes and passing it on to management.”
During routine checks, you’ll sooner or later come across a book with a skull-shaped cover and a picture of a cigarette. Confiscate it.
Day 15 – Take care of your children
- Main task : find a sixteen year old girl.
- What to do : Quarantine her.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “A sixteen-year-old girl has escaped from the local orphanage . They say it’s a terrible place: children are beaten, injected with drugs, and kept in the cold. You’ll recognize her by her symptoms. If she returns, quarantine her. We want to learn more about the creatures that did this to her.”
Check the ages of all survivors by going to the “Distribution” menu (to the left of the “Symptoms” tab). The upper left corner displays all survivor information, including age, place of origin, and so on. There will likely be only one 16-year-old girl. Check her symptoms and quarantine her, even if she appears perfectly healthy.
Day 16 – Toxic Avenger
- Main task : find a piece of cheese.
- What to do : Confiscate the item.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official Description : “Our reconnaissance forces have discovered traces of an early strain of the virus . Address: 8 Horatio Street, Apartment 94, New York City, New York State. Eliminate the target.”
This is another fairly simple task. Just check backpacks until you find the cheese and confiscate it.
Day 17 – Wanted: Patient Zero
- Primary Objective : Find a survivor living at 8 Horatio St., NY.
- What to do : Eliminate the target.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official Description : “Our reconnaissance forces have discovered traces of an early strain of the virus. Address: 8 Horatio Street, Apartment 94, New York City, New York State. Eliminate the target.”
So, there are no bolded words here, but the task is the same as in the previous cases. Just check the city and street name in the “Distribution” tab, and you’ll find the right target. Eliminate the survivor by any means necessary.
Day 18 – Rodent Invasion
- Main objective : destroy the specified number of rats .
- What you need to do : kill 3 rats with a hammer.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “There have been too many rats lately. Maybe the virus is affecting them too. Reduce their numbers before they grow to the size of boars. Just like in horror movies…”
If you, like me, were confused by this quest, don’t worry. Rats move quite quickly and appear randomly in different parts of the base. But there is actually a way to sneak up on them. There’s a crouch button in the game. Press CTRL to crouch, allowing you to approach the rats without spooking them. Then hit them with a hammer. Repeat this three times. Hammers are the only way to kill rodents!
Day 19 – Deadly High
- Main task : find a can of soda.
- What to do : Confiscate the item.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “Drug dealers have started mixing soda with the blood of the infected. Kids drink it, get high, and then turn into zombies. If you find a can of it on someone, confiscate it.”
Again, it’s pretty simple. Confiscate the item, and the task will be completed. Look at the image below to see what the jar looks like.
Day 20 – Wanted: Cannibal
- Main objective : Find a survivor who is overweight and has Vitilogu disease (white spots on the skin).
- What to do : Eliminate the target.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “We’ve heard rumors of a survivor who eats other humans. The only description we have is that he’s obese and has vitiligo. Delete him on sight.”
Apparently, a cannibal is trying to infiltrate the camp. The survivor will show no symptoms, so be vigilant and eliminate anyone who fits this description.
Day 21 – Singles
- Main objective : find the zombie near the wall.
- What you need to do : destroy 3 zombies.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “There are isolated zombies hanging around the wall again. One stained the concrete, and within a couple of hours, more arrived. It looks like they’re marking their territory. Take them out before a whole crowd gathers.”
Head to the defensive area behind one of the walls in the garage. I’ve shown what it looks like below.
Any defensive tower will do, but try to choose the one closest to the wandering zombies. You can either aim carefully, shooting slightly higher for headshots, or just fire nonstop. Ammo refills automatically, so don’t worry about running out. Kill three zombies to complete the task. Sometimes guards will kill zombies, and that also counts.
Day 22 – Dead Zone
- Main task : find a district with a name related to the animal .
- What to do : Quarantine the target.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “A zombie horde has taken over an entire district, but some are believed to have escaped before the area was fully cordoned off. If you see anyone with a district named after an animal in their records, quarantine them.”
Find a survivor with a street name associated with an animal. In my case, it was Crow Street. Quarantine them.
Day 23 – Wanted: Pike Mussik
- Main objective : Find Pike Mussik.
- What to do : Eliminate the target.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official Description : “Wanted: Pike Mussik. Criminal and con artist. Stabbed a security guard at the Foxtrot checkpoint and then fled. Possesses a threat to others. The wanted individual must be detained and, if necessary, neutralized. Check names.”
As with other name-based quests, check the “Distribution” or “Symptoms” tab to see the survivor’s name. Once you find Pike Mussik, eliminate him by any means necessary.
Day 24 – With Fire
- Main objective : find the flamethrower.
- What to do : Do not confiscate the item.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “If you see someone with a flamethrower, don’t take it. We’ve called in farmers to help burn the corpses—the smell attracts the infected.”
I encountered the same problem with this mission as I did on Day Nine: the required item (a flamethrower) never appeared on the survivors. The advice is the same: if an item looks like it could be a flamethrower, just don’t confiscate it.
Day 25 – Singles (repeat)
- Main objective : find the zombie near the wall.
- What you need to do : destroy 3 zombies.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “There are isolated zombies hanging around the wall again. One stained the concrete, and within a couple of hours, more arrived. It looks like they’re marking their territory. Take them out before a whole crowd gathers.”
This request is completely identical to the Day 21 quest. The walkthrough is the same. I personally experienced a bug where zombies wouldn’t spawn near the wall at all. If the same thing happens to you, try restarting the game or the day.
Day 26 – Secret Development
- Main task : find a chainsaw.
- What to do : Do not confiscate the item.
- Reward : $1200.
- Official description : “If you see someone with a chainsaw, don’t take it. It’s a military prototype: its serial number is listed in our database. An order was recently issued to evacuate the prototype.”
Exactly the same problem as on days 9 and 24. There were no survivors with chainsaws, but the task still counted as completed.
