Crucible Arts are special weapon skills in Nioh 3. Unlike regular skills, which are unlocked with Samurai or Ninja Points, these skills can only be acquired by finding and using a special weapon—a Crucible Weapon. It functions like a regular weapon, but has an exclusive Crucible Art that can only be used while wielding it. At least, that’s until you unlock the skill itself. Here’s how to do it as quickly as possible.
Forge Arts are only available on the corresponding weapon . These weapons typically drop from yokai defeated within Crucible Realms. You’ll know you have a Forge Weapon by the flaming skull icon next to its name in your inventory. If you inspect the item, the word “Forge Arts” will be listed at the bottom of its card .
Currently, the best way to obtain such weapons is to fight within the Forge areas . These zones often occur at the end of key stages of the main story, such as the quest “The Forge Revealed,” where players fight Yakotsu-Baba in Hamamatsu Castle Town. The Forge will collapse after its core is destroyed. To farm again, approach the altar and replay the corresponding mission through the Warscrolls menu.
Replaying missions is the best way to quickly level up a weapon’s Mastery and unlock its Forge Art . The aforementioned “Forge Revealed” mission in Hamamatsu is perfect for the early game. The map is fairly simple, and the enemies are numerous and resilient.
However, the general rule is this: the best place to farm Exploration is the highest-level Warscroll mission available to you. You’ll not only get Exploration, but also gear and a lot of Amrita. If you just completed the Revealed Forge early in the game, the next best place might be the Dread Caverns in Maysak, which are part of the Dread Cavern Demon scroll.
You can also use Sharpening Stones to instantly gain 150 Mastery . They’re rare, but there’s a chance to drop them if you sell gear at altars.
