Some modifications provide direct bonuses to stats, while others expand the familiar combat system , unlocking entirely new features that can change the course of battles. This is especially true towards the later stages of the game, when enemies become more aggressive and MK. II versions of robots appear more frequently . Below is a detailed guide with the locations of all modifications in the game. Some can be found in various parts of the sectors visited during the story campaign, others can be obtained in Kubik’s Bingo Club by unlocking the corresponding slots in five different cards, and still others are hidden entirely as part of the secret ending.
In total, Pragmata offers 40 mods, which are unlocked gradually as you progress. Most of them are hidden in optional passages, behind unnecessary turns, doors, or holographic (fake) walls. But all the mods you can find in story levels and post-game simulations are hidden exclusively in blue containers. They cannot contain anything else!
All 40 modifications are conditionally divided into 4 categories, although their number within these lists is not the same:
- Attack : These mods enhance Hugh’s combat abilities, such as increasing weapon damage and attack speed.
- Hacking : These are primarily aimed at improving Diana’s hacking skills – they increase the vulnerability time of enemies after hacking and expand the hacking radius.
- Defense : Increases survivability in battles with increasingly difficult opponents – for example, by reducing damage taken.
- Support : Adds useful upgrades to Hugh, such as increasing resource drop rates.
You’ll need to choose mods that suit your playstyle, as you can only equip up to 6 at a time (the number of slots can be increased using the Modular Printer device, in the “Add-ons” tab).
Below is a description of all the mods and their location in the game in chronological order, as they are presented in 40 in-game slots.
Modification 1 – Hardened suit (protection)
- Mod Equip Effect : Increases Hugh’s maximum health by 10%.
- How to obtain : The modification is located inside a blue container in the main lobby. It’s located to the right of the escape hatch, making it quite difficult to miss. Opening the container will grant you the modification.
Modification 2 – Additional pocket (support)
- Effect when equipped : You gain 10% more Moon Fiber.
- How to obtain : After obtaining the key to the red gate, return to the corresponding area. One of the keys can be found directly on this level, and the second can be obtained in Kubik’s Bingo Club. On the first card, it is hidden under the center cell of the bottom row. After opening the area, defeat all enemies to unlock the containers: a blue one with a modification and a gray one with Pure Lunite.
Modification 3 – Vulnerability Extension (Hack)
- Effect when equipped : Revealed enemies remain vulnerable for 15% longer.
- How to get it : Move forward from the “Shopping Quarter” escape hatch until you reach the mannequin shop . Here, Hugh can comment on the situation in a dialogue with Diana. Take a look around: there’s a wall lift on the right, but don’t use it right away. There’s a passageway to the right—jump in, carefully avoid the laser traps, and prepare for battle: a Wallbreaker will appear from an alcove on the left. Destroy it and use the lift it was guarding. Once up, you can climb behind the glass partition where the blue container is.
Modification 4 – Close Combat (Attack)
- Effect when equipped : Increases attack power by 10% if the enemy is within 10 meters.
- How to get : After leaving the area with the Walkers disguised as mannequins, you’ll find yourself in a bright room. There’s a blue container there—open it to get another modification.
Modification 5 – Long Range Attack
- Effect when equipped : Increases attack power by 10% if the enemy is more than 20 meters away.
- How to get it : From the third radio beacon, descend to the very bottom of the courtyard where the robots are patrolling. They’re guarding a blue container, but don’t rush into combat. First, find the alley with the wall lift—you can also encounter a Hoover there, a special robot that will try to flee when you appear. If you manage to destroy it, you’ll receive a significant amount of moon fiber and progress toward the achievement. Take the lift up and retrieve the “Gorka” NZG. Then return to the same alley, clear the area of enemies, and open the blue container.
Modification 6 – Signal Booster (Hack)
- Effect when equipped : Increases hack range by 30%.
- How to get it : From the Interchange escape hatch, jump down and pick up the new weapon, the Railgun. Afterwards, go through the door and clear the arena : first, eliminate the two Observers, then deal with the Executor—a large enemy resembling a mechanical doll. Once the area is safe, activate the red node and begin climbing up. Pay attention to the right: there’s a ledge above the door you entered the courtyard through. A blue container is located on it.
Modification 7 – Charged Arsenal (Support)
- Effect when equipped : weapon reload speed increases by 30%.
- How to get : Dropped from the Intern card in the Kubika Binko Club. Hidden in the top-right slot.
Modification 8 – Self-Defense Instinct (Defense)
- Mod Equip Effect : Reduces damage taken by 20% while below 50% of your maximum health.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Intern” card in Kubika’s Binko Club. Hidden in the right cell of the middle row.
Modification 9 – Instigator (attack)
- Effect when equipped : Deals 10% more weapon and hack damage to disabled or immobilized enemies.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Intern” card in the Cube Binko Club. Hidden in the first cell of the middle horizontal row (first from the left).
Modification 10 – Cannon Fodder (Attack)
- Effect when equipping a mod : 30% of critical hit hits nearby enemies.
- How to get : Next to the Ecoanalytics Lab hatch is the entrance to the Red Zone. You’ll likely not have the second key to the airlock on your first visit, so you’ll have to return a little later. Luckily, you won’t have to search long for it: the key you need is in a case at the reception desk in the Weather Simulation Lab—you’ll go there during the story to get one of the three generation chips. Once inside the Red Zone, after completely clearing it, a passage above will open. Inside, you’ll find a room with two containers: the gray one contains Pure Lunite, and the blue one contains a modification.
Modification 11 – Self-learning (hacking)
- Effect when equipping a mod : Increases hack meter by 15% upon successful hack completion.
- How to obtain : Go down the stairs to the right of the chip installation devices, eliminate the Spearman, and collect the first chip. Afterwards, turn right—in this area, you’ll find an upgrade component, encounter a Walker, and notice a NZI lying in the right corner. Opposite the NZI is a closed door, but you don’t need it for now. Instead, move slightly left and find a natural passage.
Follow it to the fork and take the right path. Climb the ledges and immediately enter the building ahead. There’s an upgrade component in the dead end, but that’s not the only find. Notice the left wall—it’s illusory. Interact with it to reveal a hidden passage. A Crusher awaits you behind the wall—destroy it, pick up the electronic tablet , and head up. A blue container containing the upgrade is located there.
Modification 12 – Aggressive Defense (Defense)
- Effect when equipping a mod : When aiming a weapon with RMB, damage taken is reduced by 20%.
- How to obtain : Return to the area where you found the second chip and continue forward until you see the entrance to the Weather Testing Lab on the left. Right at the entrance, you’ll find the Red Gate Key—you’ll need it to access the previously locked red zone in the Eco-Modeling Lab. Examine the left side of the room: there’s an upgrade component behind a glass flask. Continue inside and find a ladder. Directly beneath it is a blue container.
Modification 13 – Cheap Shot (Attack)
- Effect when equipping a mod : Increases attack power by 15% when attacking enemies from behind.
- How to get it : You’ll reach the central room of the Agrofactory regardless of your chosen route—whether through the red zone or the regular entrance. Here, you’ll encounter a formidable group of enemies: a Bomber, a Binder, and two Lancers. After clearing the area, you’ll find yourself in a hallway with holographic deer. Don’t rush further. Check the room on the left—it contains the first Training Data (which unlocks additional levels of “Training Simulations” in the Sanctuary), as well as a blue container.
Modification 14 – Accurate Shot (Attack)
- Effect when equipping a mod : After successfully activating the speed boost, time slows down and weapon damage increases by 10%.
- How to get it : The next stage involves completing the Eco-Modeling Lab. You’ll need to find three generation chips, activate ledges on the trees, and reach a terminal that will clear the main lobby of overgrowth. Afterward, return and use the elevator to go up. There, you can jump onto the upper ledge where the blue container is located.
Modification 15 – Instant Repair (Protection)
- Effect when equipped : Increases the speed of using repair cartridges and increases their effectiveness by 10%.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Assistant” card in the Kubika Binko Club. Hidden in the top-left cell of the table.
Modification 16 – Super Concentration (Support)
- Mod Equip Effect : Direct enemy attacks no longer reset the hack matrix .
- How to get : Dropped from the “Assistant” card in the Cube Binko Club. Hidden in the first vertical row, second cell from the bottom up.
Modification 17 – At Peak Form (Attack)
- Effect when equipped : Attack power increases by 10% when health is full.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Assistant” card in the Kubika Binko Club. Hidden in the bottom row, in the second cell from left to right.
Modification 18 – Performance Boost (Hack)
- Effect when equipped : Extends the duration of the hacking node by 20%.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Assistant” card in the Kubika Binko Club. Hidden in the third (left to right) vertical row, second cell from the bottom up.
Modification 19 – Composure (defense)
- Effect when equipping a mod : Successfully activating the Emergency Boosters restores 10% of your maximum health.
- How to get it : After descending the elevator, you’ll find yourself in the first area, where the story requires you to jump to the opposite side across high platforms. Don’t rush to continue. Instead, jump down, staying within this area. Examine the cliff—there’s a cave you can climb into. Inside, destroy the regular loov and open the blue container.
Modification 20 – Analog Aggression (Attack)
- Effect when equipping a mod : Increases weapon damage by 10%, but in exchange reduces hacking damage by 10%.
- How to get it : In the second area where the Moon Dig appears, notice the mechanism with a bucket on the right. It periodically lowers into the ground and then rises back up. Next to it is a platform with a blue container. To reach it, stand on the ground beneath the bucket when it’s lowered and wait for it to rise. The mechanism will lift you up, from where you can jump to the desired platform.
Modification 21 – Digital Domination (Hack)
- Effect when equipping a mod : Increases hack damage by 10%, but in exchange reduces weapon damage by 10%.
- How to get it : Head to the central part of the location, closer to the exit from the second area with the Moon Digger. Look to the left – there’s a raised platform with an upgrade component. You can reach it by jumping from the adjacent platform on the right. Afterwards, return to the right platform and fly to the elevated area where the Rocket Spotter MK 2 was previously circling. At the end of the route, there’s a ledge you can climb up. There, you’ll find a blue container with the upgrade.
Modification 22 – More Nodes (Support)
- Effect when equipping a mod : Increases the chance of enemies dropping hacking nodes by 10%.
- How to obtain : In the second area of the warehouse, accessed through a hatch, first clear the room of enemies. Among them will be a Defender with shields, so be prepared for a longer fight. After defeating him, pay attention to the right: an upgrade component is visible behind the wall. Get closer and use hacking to move the crate away from the component. Then, go left and push another container away from you—this will open a path through the wall and allow you to collect the upgrade.
Return to the place where you entered this part of the warehouse after moving the crate. Push this container to the left, then push the third crate deeper into the room—toward the blocks next to the blue container. After that, push the previous crate back to the right through the grate to regain access to the central room. Once outside, climb the steps and use the previously pushed crate as a jumping point to the blue container.
On the ledge to the right is a safe containing a Kubik token—open it and loot its contents. To reach the blue container itself, you’ll have to deal with the crates again. Drop down to the hatch in the floor through which you entered this area, turn around, and crack the container above. Then, return the same way you came and slide another crate open, revealing a passage to the container containing the modification.
Modification 23 – Vigilance (attack)
- Effect when equipped : Increases attack power by 15% while in the air.
- How to get it : After exiting through the “Mines – Control Panel” emergency hatch, go straight ahead to the end, then turn right. There are some gas cylinders against the wall—you can use them to climb over the barrier and find another emergency supply. After grabbing it, go back over the wall and look to the right of the entrance. Behind the glass, you’ll see a safe and a blue container with a modification. Opposite you’ll find some blocks: climb them and jump to the building with the containers. Before entering the building, look on the left side—there’s a movable block there. Hack it to move it. Once inside, move another container outside. This will only work if you’ve previously moved the block outside. This will open a hole that allows you to descend to the first floor.
Modification 24 – Synaptic Response (Hack)
- Mod Equip Effect : Draw your weapon while boosting to deplete some of your hacking meter and trigger auto-hack.
- How to get it : You need the sandy area where the Moon Dig is moving again. Towards the end of the sector, in the center of the elevated area, there’s a turret. There are several containers in this area, some of which can be moved. First, push the left container into the area, then move the center one to the left—it should protrude beyond the other blocks. After that, find a position from which you can lift up another, almost invisible container on the second level in the back.
Use the extended blocks as steps: climb up one container, then climb even higher using the one you just lifted up. A Turret Gunner awaits you on the opposite side. Choose the right moment and jump across the platforms that periodically extend from the wall. Once you reach the other side, destroy the turret and open the blue container containing the modification.
Modification 25 – Economy (support)
- Mod equipping effect : The last shot from a secondary module may save the weapon. The activation chance decreases over time.
- How to get it : Another safe is hidden in the Main Quarry red zone. The entrance is in the far right corner of the location, just past the climb you take to reach the node for hacking the suspended container. However, there’s a catch: by this point, you’ll likely be out of keys if you’ve unlocked all the previous red zones. The exception is if you skipped the Warehouse red zone in the Lunite Mines, in which case you’ll still have access. Inside, you’ll face a two-wave battle. After the first group of enemies, a second will appear, and in the final battle, you’ll have to fight a Defender. Once you’ve dealt with all the enemies, you can collect your rewards.
Modification 26 – Extreme Measure (Attack)
- Effect when equipped : The last shot from non-primary modules deals 50% more damage.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Specialist” card in the Cube Bingo Club. Hidden in the third horizontal row from the bottom to the top, third cell from left to right.
Modification 27 – Reinforced hull (protection)
- Effect when equipped : Reduces damage taken by 20% for 20 seconds after using a Repair Cartridge.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Specialist” card in the Kubika Binko Club. Hidden in the lower left corner of the table.
Modification 28 – Hidden Potential (Hack)
- Mod Equip Effect : For 15 seconds, using a Hacking Node increases attack power by 10% and reduces damage taken by 10%.
- How to get it : After descending the stairs from the first escape hatch and defeating three infected Crawlers, don’t rush to leave. Turn back to the same stairs and notice the door to the right of the steps. Go inside, deal with the Chameleon, and open the blue container.
Modification 29 – Heat Transfer (Attack)
- Effect when equipped : Increases the heat gauge’s fill rate by 10%, incapacitating enemies faster.
- How to get it : From the Research Facility Lobby escape hatch, climb the stairs on the left and enter the room. There’s a blue container on the right, but access to it is blocked by a laser grid. Look up—there’s a red node directly above the entrance you entered through. Activate it to disable the lasers and access the container.
Modification 30 – Cursed (Attack)
- Effect when equipped : Increases weapon and hacking damage by 20%, but in exchange reduces health by 50%.
- How to obtain : Once you reach the next area filled with black goo, jump down. Here, the story requires you to destroy the red luv and activate the node to remove the laser barriers. After that, don’t rush back up. Check the opposite side of the room—another red luv cluster is hidden below. Destroy it to open a passage into the dark area. Continue forward and drop down. You’ll encounter enemies in the illuminated room—clear it, then open the blue container.
Mod 31 – Adrenaline Rush (Attack)
- Effect when equipped : When health is below 25%, attack power increases by 20%.
- How to get it : In an area with platforms surrounded by necrofilament, you’ll first need to clear the area: destroy the infected androids and the turret, then prepare for a series of fights after passing through the door—several waves of enemies await you. As you progress, the next path will open. When you gain access to the next door, don’t rush forward. Turn around and jump down—the previously locked door is now accessible.
Below, you’ll encounter flying drones . Destroy them and deactivate the pillars suppressing Diana’s abilities. Afterward, climb up the upper passage, turn left, and fly to the opposite ledge. Drop down to find an upgrade component. Continue left, then look right—from here, you can reach a chain of platforms leading to a blue container.
Modification 32 – Acceleration Impulse (defense)
- Effect when equipped : Increases the “Haste” window by 20%.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Manager” card in the Kubika Binko Club. Hidden in the second horizontal row from top to bottom, in the third cell from left to right.
Modification 33 – Weak Spot (Attack)
- Effect when equipped : Increases weapon damage to enemy weak points by 15%.
- How to get : Dropped from the “Manager” card in the Kubika Binko Club. Hidden in the bottom horizontal row, in the third cell from left to right.
Modification 34 – Critical Response (Hack)
- Effect when equipped : Increases hack damage by 20% when attacking hacked enemies. Effective only in certain hacking modes.
- How to get : Can be obtained from the “Manager” card in the Kubika Bingo Club. Awarded for a triple bingo.
Modification 35 – Loading Hack (Hack)
- Effect when equipped : A successful hack will instantly recharge your main module.
- How to get : A reward for completing one of the simulations in the Secret Room, which you can access after completing Pragmata for the first time and launching the “Unidentified Signal” mode from the main menu. The blue container will be at the very end, near the exit.
Modification 36 – Lucky (defense)
- Effect when equipped : Chance to nullify damage. This chance decreases upon re-applying the mod, but is restored upon taking damage.

Modification 37 – Hacker Attack (Support)

Modification 40 – Black Box (Unique Mod)
- Effect when equipped : An experimental memory module. Likely capable of inhibiting the spread of necrofilament in living organisms. An item required to achieve the game’s true ending.
- How to get : Complete all trials (simulations) in the Secret Room, which you can access after completing Pragmata for the first time and launching the Unidentified Signal mode from the main menu.
