Resident Evil 2 Remake Guide: Save Locations

Since the events of the new game in this iconic survival horror series return us to Raccoon City, many will likely be interested in reminiscing about what happened there. And if after completing the original Resident Evil, you’d like to continue playing the updated second game, here’s where you can find your RE2 Remake saves.

For the Steam version of the game, the saves folder will be located here:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/[Your Steam ID]/883710/remote

For those who purchased Resident Evil 2 Remake through the Microsoft Store or got the game for free with a Game Pass subscription , the path to your saves is as follows:

C:/Users/[User Name]/AppData/Local/Packages/[Random Character Folder]/SystemAppData/wgs

Owners of the unofficial version of RE2 Remake will have to find the saves folder themselves. As a hint, we can only provide an example of one of the most popular pirated distributions:
