In reality, the game is quite forgiving in terms of earning the so-called “platinum.” There’s an achievement for completing the game within the specified time limit, but four hours is more than enough to complete the game on the easy difficulty level. Furthermore, Resident Evil Requiem can be completed in just three hours. The “Insanity” difficulty level is trivial thanks to cheats that grant infinite ammo or a rocket launcher that destroys all enemies in one hit.
But to get all this as quickly as possible, remember to spend your Challenge Points (CP) wisely between playthroughs . Don’t waste them on unnecessary items, otherwise you might not have enough CP for more important and relevant items.
After your first playthrough, be sure to purchase the infinite-durability “Kotetsu” knife so you can speedrun without using medication or the blood draw system.
After the speedrun, you will have over 100,000 RP to buy infinite ammo and an infinite RPG.
Don’t buy sketches or models until you’ve completed the game on Insanity difficulty.
It’s also a good idea to start distributing manual saves evenly throughout the game. You should have one file for each major region. Since there’s no chapter select, this is the best way to return to all locations and quickly collect any missed items.
Stage 1: Complete the game on Easy difficulty and collect all collectibles (10-15 hours)
It’s recommended to play on the lowest difficulty level, “Easy,” to make some achievements easier to obtain. You’ll have more ammo, and enemies will die faster, which is beneficial for various achievements. You can also play on “Standard” if you prefer, and if you find any trophies challenging, save them for a later playthrough.
After earning each story trophy, save your game manually in a separate slot. These saves can be used as a “chapter select menu” to switch between locations and find anything you missed.
Completing the game once on any difficulty level unlocks the “Insanity” difficulty level (you only need to complete the game on “Easy” or “Standard”). You can also see a full list of all challenges.
Stage 2. Speedrun on the Easy level, without healing or blood collection (3-4 hours)
After your first playthrough, if you’ve collected all the collectibles and earned some achievements, you’ll have around 27,000 Challenge Points (CP). If you weren’t able to get the “Bloodlust” achievement for collecting 5,000 units of Infected Blood, load an old save, use blood transfusion bags, and repeat the process until the trophy unlocks. It can be obtained very quickly by loading the same saves where you have blood bags. After this, you’ll never have to worry about consuming blood again and will earn a lot of CP for completing the “Bloodlust” challenge.
Before starting a speedrun, go to the “Special Materials” menu and purchase the “Kotetsu.” It’s an unbreakable knife for 5,000 RP. Since you can’t use the blood draw system to craft ammo, an infinite knife will come in handy. If the knife gets stuck in an enemy, be sure to finish them off and retrieve the melee weapon before moving on, otherwise it will be lost.
For speedruns, do not use any blood collection system or medications (green herbs, herbal mixtures, or medical injectors). You can track your progress in the “Challenges” section, under “Emergency Stock” and “Minimalism.” The counters must remain at “0” throughout the entire run, after which the trophies will unlock when you see the progress screen. If the counter increases, the trophy will be forfeited.
On the “easy” difficulty level, your health automatically regenerates to yellow (moderate). So, if you take damage, it’s okay; just keep playing; there’s no need to keep your health at maximum. You can pick up and drop healing items, but you can’t use them. Crafting and selling healing items is also allowed and doesn’t increase your challenge counter.
You can check your time in the “Challenges” section, under “Need for Speed.” Pausing the game also pauses the timer. Estimated completion times for each area are listed in the “Need for Speed” trophy description. To save time solving puzzles , check out our guide to solving all puzzles in Resident Evil Requiem.
Don’t waste Challenge Points (CP) on other bonus items! Save them after your speedrun to purchase unlimited ammo and a rocket launcher for completing the game on Insanity difficulty (costs 100,000 CP). Completing the game in under 4 hours also unlocks an infinite ink ribbon, allowing you to make unlimited saves even on Insanity.
Stage 3. Completion on Madness difficulty (3 hours)
After the speedrun, you’ll have over 100,000 RP to purchase unlimited ammo and a rocket launcher from the Special Materials menu. Purchase them and start a new game on the “Madness” difficulty. The infinite rocket launcher kills any enemy with one shot. The RPG-7 is only usable when playing as Leon. Weapons can be picked up from supply crates, which will start appearing from the very beginning of the game.
Grace can also use the Requiem revolver, which kills normal enemies with two shots to the body or one shot to the head.
On Insanity difficulty, additional enemies appear and move faster, but with bonus items the game is no more difficult than a first playthrough on Standard difficulty.
Step 4: Unlock all sketches and models
After completing the “Madness” level, you’ll earn more than enough RP to purchase all the sketches and models, which together cost 10,000 RP. Purchase them in the “Special Materials” menu, and the Platinum will be yours.

- Description : Complete the main story on Normal (Classic) or higher.
To unlock this achievement, complete the storyline on any ending on the “Standard (Classic)” difficulty level or higher. All difficulty-specific trophies are cumulative, and completing the game on a higher difficulty level will also unlock this achievement.
The difference between “modern” and “classic” modes is that the latter requires ink ribbons for manual saving.
Outstanding Agent achievement
- Description : Complete the main story in Madness mode.
The “Insanity” difficulty level is unlocked after completing the story once on any difficulty level. Even completing the game on “Easy” is enough. Afterward, you’ll be able to select “Insanity” when starting a new game.
Completing the game on Insanity difficulty will also unlock all trophies for lower difficulties, including Standard (Modern) and Standard (Classic).
What differences does the Insanity difficulty level offer?
- Enemies have significantly more health; two body shots or one headshot are enough to kill regular opponents with the Requiem revolver.
- New enemies have appeared in some places.
- The infected move much faster.
- Zombies that appear in the later stages of the game are encountered from the very beginning.
- The ancient coins are now hidden in different places, and the safe codes are different. The locations of some key items have also changed.
Out of Sight Achievement
- Description : Place an item in the box while playing as Grace.
Safe rooms with save options often contain storage boxes for Grace’s items. The first one is located in the Rhodes Hill Medical Center, in the “Security Office” safe room in the central hall. Move any item from your inventory into this box. There are other storage boxes in the game that allow you to do this.
Achievement “The Good Old Method”
- Description : Use the typewriter ribbon to save the game.
Ink ribbons are found exclusively on the “Madness” and “Standard (Classic)” difficulties. They are not found on the “Easy” and “Standard (Modern)” difficulties. On these difficulties, they are required for manual saving on typewriters. They appear as small, black, circular ribbons and are scattered throughout the game world. Pick one up and make a manual save using any typewriter.
Achievement “Just Like Her Mother”
- Description : crack the box with a master key.
This achievement can only be obtained as Grace. Lockpicks and locked boxes with regular locks can be found throughout the medical center. For example, the very first lockpick is in the Chief Researcher’s office (there’s also a typewriter and a safe with solar quartz) on the second floor of the east wing. Find it on the cabinet to the left of the typewriter. Then use it on any locked box, which will be marked on the map when you approach it. For example, a locked box is in a desk in the east wing lobby.
Achievement “Lethal Dose”
- Description : Kill a zombie with a hemolytic injector.
The first and best chance to earn this achievement is playing as Grace in the Medical Center, exploring the East Wing. Upon entering the Receptionist’s office (as part of the story), you’ll see the first Hemolytic Injector on the cabinets behind the desk with the organless corpse. Pick it up, crouch, and sneak up on the nearest zombie. Press the F key to administer the injection. The zombie will instantly explode, earning you the trophy. You can also craft Hemolytic Injectors after finding the Blood Collection System in the Hematology Lab and analyzing a blood sample (denaturation) with the Laser Microscope in the same location, which unlocks the recipe.
Achievement “It’s Science!”
- Description : Unlock the instruction by performing the analysis.
While controlling Grace, you’ll obtain key items in the hematology lab in the medical center’s east wing: a blood collection system and a blood sample (denaturation). In the same room, you’ll be able to interact with a laser microscope, after which you’ll need to solve a sequence to turn all square atoms into red circles (active). This will unlock new crafting recipes and earn you a trophy.
Achievement “Power of Blood”
- Description : Create an item using the blood collection system.
While controlling Grace, in the Hematology Lab in the east wing of the Medical Center, you’ll obtain key items—a Blood Collection System and a Blood Sample (Denaturation). In the same room, you can interact with the Laser Microscope, and then you’ll need to solve a sequence to turn all the atoms red. This will unlock new crafting recipes and earn you a trophy. Now, press TAB and go to the crafting menu. Craft any item that requires contaminated blood (pistol ammo, hemolytic injector, or medical injector). To obtain contaminated blood, you can use the Blood Collection System on the buckets of blood often found throughout the Medical Center, or on pools of blood. One bucket is located right in the Hematology Lab.
Achievement “Blood! More Blood!”
- Description : Use 300 micro-samples of infected blood.
Instructions for unlocking crafting using the blood collection system are described above. After unlocking crafting, simply craft items containing a total of 300 units of contaminated blood (e.g., pistol ammo, a hemolytic injector, etc.). You can collect blood, save, and reload. Craft pistol ammo, reload from your last save, and repeat until you earn the achievement. All similar trophies can be obtained this way!
Big Gun achievement
- Description : Stun the Girl with Requiem.
The Girl is a large monster that chases you throughout the medical center. You need to shoot her once with the Requiem revolver, which Grace will receive automatically upon reaching the medical center’s central hall. After this, the Girl will disappear, but will reappear when you descend to the basement from the east wing isolation ward. Later, you’ll confront her at the water treatment plant.
Your best chance of getting this trophy is at the Water Treatment Plant, when you need to turn on three power supplies . The game will give you plenty of ammo for the Requiem there, which is a good thing.
Achievement “The Hunt Has Begun”
- Description : Destroy one Mr. Raccoon figure.
Achievement “Inviolability”
- Description : Parry an enemy attack.
As Leon, you need to use your battle axe to parry an attack just before the infected strikes you. This means pressing the spacebar just before the attack hits your target. This requires precise timing and will likely take several tries. If your battle axe becomes dull, you can sharpen it using the keys indicated on the screen.
Achievement “Can I borrow it for a while?”
- Description : Drop a weapon dropped by an enemy.
This achievement can only be obtained as Leon. Enemies will occasionally drop their melee weapons, which you can interact with to automatically throw them at the nearest enemy. Do this at least once to earn the trophy. The best and earliest opportunity is when you first play as Leon, during the prologue in Renwool. One of the zombies on the street will be carrying a fire axe. After defeating it, you can immediately throw it at the nearest enemy. So this is potentially the first trophy in the game.
Achievement “Lumberjack”
- Description : Finish off three zombies with an axe.
While playing as Leon, a prompt will occasionally appear to perform a finishing move with an axe. This happens occasionally when enemies are low on health, fall to the floor, or you shoot them in the legs repeatedly. Perform a total of three such finishing moves with an axe throughout the game. This should happen naturally as you progress through RE9. Bubbleheads are especially easy to finish off if you shoot them in the head or legs repeatedly.
Achievement “Retail Therapy”
- Description : Buy an item from a supply box.
The supply crate first appears during Leon’s playthrough in Raccoon City, after unlocking a save point in the BSAA Central Camp. You can then interact with the large green crate next to the save system to buy and sell items, including weapon upgrades. Each enemy you kill earns you credits, which can be exchanged for items. You’ll also receive credits in exchange for tracking devices you find. Incidentally, if you play through the game again, the supply crate will appear from the very beginning, this time on the streets of Renwood.
Achievement “Custom Order”
- Description : Modify weapons.
Playing as Leon, you need to add a new weapon part. The first opportunity to obtain this trophy is in the attic of the medical center. The first warped cabinet in the hallway between the attic and the attic storage room can be opened with Leon’s axe, and it contains a compensator for the Crocodile Tears pistol. It’s located between the attic and the attic storage room, after killing a chunk. Combine the weapon part with the pistol in your inventory to unlock the trophy.
Later in Raccoon City, you’ll be able to use supply crates to purchase upgrades for any weapon.
Achievement “Street Racing”
- Description : Interrupt one of Victor’s attacks on the highway.
This trophy can be earned while riding Leon’s motorcycle as he travels from East Raccoon City to the city center (after finding the detonator). While riding the motorcycle, Victor will be ahead, riding another bike, firing an RPG at Leon. Each time he’s about to do so, a red arrow will appear over his head. Quickly shoot him to interrupt the attack and unlock the achievement.
While this achievement is technically missable, it’s so easy you’ll probably get it naturally, without even trying. In this section, you’ll have infinite ammo for the SMG, so you can shoot at Victor and the Gamras throughout the entire ride. The first opportunity is immediately after you see Victor on his motorcycle for the second time. The second is after you drive past, exploding red gas cylinders. If you miss these opportunities, load one of your previous autosaves and try again.
