Resident Evil Requiem Guide: How to Find All Steroids, Stabilizers, and Empty Injectors

Resident Evil Requiem protagonist Grace Ashcroft can find and craft special injectors that provide permanent stat boosts. These drugs are rare in the game. We’ll tell you how to find all the steroids and stabilizers, as well as empty injectors for crafting additional upgrades.

This is a reference to a mechanic from Resident Evil 7: Grace can gain permanent boosts to her maximum health and firearm damage by injecting herself with steroids and stabilizers. It’s worth noting that this has no impact on the game’s story or the protagonist’s condition.

The first steroids and stabilizer can be found in the living room of the west wing of the Rhodes Hill Medical Center. They are hidden in a cabinet containing rewards, which you can obtain by spending Ancient Coins .

Later, after obtaining a level 1 ID bracelet, you’ll be able to find a blood sample (reversibility) hidden in a locked storage room in the hematology lab. Analyze this sample with a laser microscope in the hematology lab to unlock recipes for creating steroids and a stabilizer.

Crafting these drugs requires a significant amount of infected blood: 130 for steroids and 120 for stabilizers, as well as one empty injector—one of the rarest materials in the entire game. To be precise, there are three of them in total.

On repeat playthroughs, starting with the second and beyond, you can speed up the blood collection process by purchasing a special Matsuoka Manual in the “Special Materials” section using Challenge Points. This item increases the maximum capacity of the Blood Collection System by 50 units. However, you don’t need to wait for a repeat playthrough to craft steroids and stabilizers: in the same living room, you can purchase a Development Manual for 6 Ancient Coins , which also increases the capacity of the Blood Collection System by 50 units. By default, it holds 100 units, meaning you won’t be able to craft steroids and stabilizers without either of these manuals.

What to create – steroids or stabilizers?

Even after receiving several steroids (and the maximum is four), Grace won’t receive a significant boost to her health. On Standard difficulty, even one hit/grab from an infected can be enough to send her health bar into Caution. Therefore, rather than attempting to withstand a hit, it’s generally better to avoid any damage, and empty injectors are best used to craft stabilizers.

The exception is if you’re trying to get the “Inviolability” achievement, as steroids aren’t considered herbs or medical injectors, and in addition to increasing your health bar, they restore HP on their own without affecting your challenge completion. This won’t help Leon, but it will be useful when playing as Grace.

Empty Injector Locations on Easy and Standard Difficulty

In total, you can get five permanent stat boosts: two cost eight Ancient Coins in the Living Room, and three more cost 360-390 units of Infected Blood and three Empty Injectors. If you had more empty injectors, you could craft even more steroids or stabilizers.

Stabilizer 1

The only ready-made stabilizer injection in Resident Evil Requiem can be purchased in the living room for four ancient coins, immediately after opening the door using the redstone from the unicorn box found in the chairman’s office.

Steroids 1

The only ready-made steroid injection in Resident Evil Requiem can be purchased in the living room for four ancient coins, immediately after opening the door with the redstone from the unicorn box found in the chairman’s office.

Empty injector #1

The first empty injector is in a locked storage room near the hematology lab. It can be opened after finding a level 1 Southern ID bracelet. It’s in the same room as the blood sample (reversibility).

Empty injector #2

The second empty injector is located on the second floor of the west wing in the archives department. It’s on one of the shelves in the corner. It’s guarded by a pair of zombies , one of which is a patient with an IV stand and a blood bag. They react to any loud noises, including gunshots. It’s best to approach him quietly and use the hemolytic injector to neutralize him, or leave the patient to Leon Kennedy.

Empty injector #3

The final empty injector can be found in the basement beneath the medical center, in one of the containment chambers . By default, this chamber is locked, and a rampaging infected is inside. Later, as you discover the connector plugs, the infected will break down the door, allowing you to gain access. This will happen after obtaining the key from the forklift.
