Where to Find All Chijiko in Nioh 3: A Complete Location Guide

Nioh 3 continues the series’ tradition of offering excellent combat and challenging gameplay, as well as a huge number of items to find and collect throughout the levels.

However, unlike previous games, the world of Nioh 3 is more open, making collectibles a bit more difficult to find. This is most evident in the new friendly spirit, Chijiko.

What are Chijiko for and how to find them?

If you’ve been following this extensive collectibles guide, first of all, congratulations! We’re almost there. And for those just joining in, here’s a quick refresher on what Chijiko are. Chijiko are a new type of friendly spirit that look like bells floating in the air, and they need to be shot down .

Chijiko also make a bell-like sound, which is the best way to know you’re near one.

Killing a Chijiko will not only reveal its adorable weasel form, but also reward you with a samurai or ninja castle . Collecting all the Chijikos in a location will reward you with the Art of Transformation. And now, in the final area, you’ll also receive the “Eagle Eye” trophy for collecting every Chijiko in Nioh 3 .

All Chijiko in Shichijo

The first Chijiko in Bakumatsu is fairly easy to find: head to the shrine of Nishi Hongan-ji Temple . You’ll have to walk quite a distance to reach the area shown on the map , but once there, climb the stairs to the tower for a clear view of the Chijiko.

The next Chijiko isn’t too far away— it can be found near the Karasuma Shichijo Shrine . From here, take the left path to circle the village and end up on a cliff overlooking Chijiko .

All Chijiko in Shijo

There’s only one Kodama to be found in Shijo, and it’s located at the edge of the area, near the abandoned Shijo Shrine. Head into the ruined village and then to the cliff edge on the left. From here, you’ll have a clear view of Chijiko.

All Chijiko in Sanjo

There’s also only one Chijikou in Sanjo, but the easiest way to reach it is via Sanjo Bridge Shrine in Shirakawa. From there, cross the bridge to Sanjo. When you reach the end, you should see a small protruding platform on the left. Approach it and aim forward to see the Chijikou flying under the bridge.

All Chijiko in Gion

The first Chijiko in Gion is easy to find if you start from Yasaka Shrine in Shirakawa . From there, head right until you can climb a stone path. At the top , turn right and continue up to the forested area—the Chijiko hovers over the edge of the cliff .

The second Chijikou in Gion can be found on the path leading right up the demonic cliffs after Otowa’s Staircase . At the beginning of this path, you’ll see the Kiyomizu Shrine on a cliff . Chijikou is floating below it, so jump off the cliffs to the lower platform . This will also open access to the cliff shrine, as there’s a Spirit Spring below that can be used to reach it.

The third and final Chijiko in Gion can be found later in this area, near the Great Tree Shrine on the Shrine Trail . To the right is a huge, corrupted shrine that looks like it’s been split in half . Head here to use the Spirit Spring, reach the upper level, and see Chijiko .

All Chijiko in Shirakawa

The only Chijiko in Shirakawa is located near the Yoshidayama Approach Shrine. Go left and head deeper into the forest until you reach the edge of the cliff. The Chijiko flies very close to the edge, so it’s easy to find.

All Chijiko in Nijo Castle

The first Chijiko in Nijo Castle can be found in the northern part of the area, near the Nijo Castle Ruins Lake shrine . From here, turn around and use the Spirit Spring to climb to the shrine’s roof , a convenient spot to take down the Chijiko.

The second Chijikou in Nijo Castle is a little more difficult to find. You need to start from the shrine in the Horikawa Market area and then make your way all the way to the upper western part of the area . Once you reach the gate, look to the right – Chijikou will be hovering above the water .

All Chijiko in Mibu

The only Chijiko in Mibu is located near the Main Gate Shrine. From here, turn around and go through the tunnel until you reach the area on the map. Look up from here and you’ll see the Chijiko.

All Chijiko in the Kyoto Imperial Palace

The first Chijikou in the Kyoto Imperial Palace can be found on the left side of the area, near the Maruta Riverbed Shrine . From here, head north until you reach the edge of a cliff . Chijikou will be hovering far ahead, ready to fire.

The final Chijiko in all of Nioh 3 can be found near the Imperial Palace Shrine, on the right side of the Kyoto Imperial Palace . Go all the way to the locked gate at the eastern edge, then aim for the sky . The Chijiko will be far away, but it’s still reachable with a well-aimed shot. If you’ve collected all the Chijikos in order, you’ll earn the “Eagle Eye” trophy for your efforts!
