In Hytale, lightwood is a category of wood materials that players can find while exploring the world of Orbis. Despite its name, it’s not a magical resource, but simply brightly colored wood. It’s fairly easy to obtain in large quantities, but given the world’s size, it’s helpful to know where to go and which trees to chop.

Where to find the Light Tree in Hytale

The first and most common type of light tree is the birch . It can be found in autumn biomes located near regular green meadows . On the map, these zones are marked by red forests. Autumn biomes are similar in danger to regular forests, so exploring them doesn’t require special equipment.

Birch is easily recognized by its white trunk and light-green foliage . Don’t confuse it with aspen, which also has light-colored bark. Aspen leaves are yellow or orange, and its trunks are considered softwood, not light-colored, on a builder’s bench.

Autumn biomes are common and, like swamps, usually border forested areas. Enemies to be wary of include bears, spiders, and skeletons, and at night, Void monsters appear in these areas.
