The Scholar is one of the new Nightwalkers who joined Elden Ring Nightreign in the Forsaken Hollows expansion . He is a support character who specializes in buffing allies and weakening enemies. Like other Nightwalkers, he has a series of memories quests that, when completed, can earn unique cosmetics, relics, and delve deeper into his story.

When starting the Chapter 3 Memory Quest for the Scholar, you first need to visit the Chapel again and interact with the table just to the right of the entrance.
After interacting with the quest, select the ” Scrap of Paper with ‘Tear’ ” option. This will add a personal objective for the Scientist, requiring him to go on any expedition to complete the quest.
Once you load into the game, open the map—you’ll see one of the landmarks with a glowing red objective marker . The building’s location is random, but its internal structure remains consistent, making navigation easy.
A sticky slime will spread around the building, gradually accumulating a status effect on the character. Make sure you have enough consumables to remove these effects.
Once inside the building, follow the corridor and immediately turn left, through a hole in the wall. Inside, you’ll encounter several enemies, which you can defeat or ignore. Look to the right—there’s a lit doorway. Enter it to find a hatch with a ladder leading down.
Once down, interact with the glowing object on the table to collect the “Vassal’s Journal .” This will complete the personal objective, after which players can return to the Round Table , either by completing the expedition or simply dying.
Upon returning, return to the Chapel. You’ll see the Undertaker licking some purple slime from the wall. Talk to her, after which the Iron Servant will call you and inform you of a collapse in one of the rooms. After the conversation, interact with the table again to analyze the “Vassal’s Journal .” This will complete the “Chapter 3” memory quest for the Scholar in Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows .

By selecting this option, players will be teleported to another area where they will see a large rock suspended by chains.
Here you’ll encounter several Shining Stone Wizards who will attempt to attack upon detection. Fighting them is optional—you can simply climb to the upper floor to avoid them and jump onto the suspended stone.
Once you reach the rock, you’ll see a small opening in the wall, accessible by walking along the beams. Once through, you’ll find a locked door.
To open the door, you need to investigate the source of the loud noise, which will trigger a fight with a Marauder (an Apostle of Divine Skin) .
