The Verso Sketches area in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a colorful region filled with sweets and children’s toys. Overall, the atmosphere is quite cozy and welcoming. However, even in this seemingly innocuous place, there are enemies that will attack you if you get too close. In addition to regular mobs, there are also bosses.
The main boss of this zone is Oskjo, but other optional bosses can also be found and defeated. Most of them are twisted versions of familiar enemies from Verso’s Sketches, though there are also a few unique enemies. Below is a description of where to find each of the region’s secret bosses.
Tip : All bosses in the region, except Oskjo, are vulnerable to earth, so equip your characters with the best weapons of this type. The same applies to skills. Finally, there’s the Sweetlin debuff, which you’ll receive from literally every enemy. To counter it, you must either clear the debuff stacks, one for each hit (meaning you need skills that deal multiple hits at once), or use skills and lumines to remove negative effects. For example, Lune has certain abilities.
Chroma-franktal
Most of the Verso Sketches region is one huge slope. If you continue down it without turning anywhere, you’ll soon find yourself on a flat area. On the left side of the pool is a large gray arch, and next to it are two large drums in the water. Walk between these drums and you’ll see a magical rope leading down to the area below. This is where the Chroma Franctal boss awaits.

Like regular Franktals, this boss primarily attacks with lasers or throws its own head at you. However, its Chroma version has enhanced attacks: each attack deals more damage and stacks more hits. However, it’s still fairly easy to parry its laser attacks, allowing you to counterattack. Parrying is your best ally in this fight.
Chroma-machine step
To find Chroma the Machine-Stomp, you need to head to that very same carousel. To do this, go through the large gray arch at the bottom of the hill. After entering the region, head down the slope without turning anywhere until you reach the pond. Once at the carousel, turn left and find a small passage. At the very end of this path, another optional boss awaits you.

Most of this enemy’s attacks are difficult to avoid, as he moves very quickly. However, his single attack is quite easy to parry. Otherwise, an aggressive tactic may be most effective. It’s worth noting that this boss is vulnerable to Earth-elemental skills, and this should be taken advantage of.
Monsieur Frappe
Monsieur Frappe is a Gestral who lives near the carousel. Accordingly, you’ll need to go through the gray arch at the bottom of the Verso Sketches slope again. He’s quite massive and stands under a large umbrella. To start the battle, call him a worm.
This battle is completely different from a normal fight. You can’t attack Monsieur Frappe directly. Instead, you must parry his attacks. To win, you must successfully parry his attacks three times.

This isn’t easy, as he attacks in a way that makes it difficult to predict when to parry. You’ll have to resort to trial and error to get the timing right, but overall, the fight isn’t too difficult. The on-screen prompts aren’t linked to specific attacks! That is, the same prompt can result in different attacks, so using them as hints, as with other bosses, is pointless.
Chroma the Unicorn
To find the Unicorn Chrome, first look for the large toy bricks located in the far part of Verso’s Sketches, near the Dreamwalk expedition flag.

You need to climb these golden blocks and navigate the obstacle course on top of the wooden beams. At some point, you’ll see a path on the right. Follow it to reach the boss.

Most of Chrome the Unicorn’s attacks deal significant damage, but they are well-timed and easily parried. Therefore, your primary strategy should be to timely parry all of his attacks. When it’s your turn to attack, use Earth-elemental abilities—this is a weakness of unicorns.
Chroma the Sweet Tooth
Unlike some other bosses, Chroma the Sweet-Toothed makes no attempt to hide from you. This enemy roams near the Dreamwalker expedition flag, near a large body of water. A merchant named Nayavla is also nearby.

This boss fights in much the same way as regular Sweet Tooths. It attacks with a huge lollipop and uses the candies to create shields. The shields can be annoying, but they’re fairly easy to remove. By now, you should have encountered several enemies that use similar tactics. For example, Mael has a powerful skill that instantly destroys shields, but they can also be destroyed with simple ranged attacks. You can also destroy the lollipops floating above the enemy: this not only removes the boss’s shields but also deals damage. Additionally, the Sweet Tooth Chroma is vulnerable to Earth-elemental attacks, which can deal significant damage.
Under-represented
One of the most inconspicuous bosses in the entire game. In reality, it’s a regular small Gestral. You’ll find it near the pool with the wooden swing at the Gestral Baths. The Gestral stands surrounded by balloons. To start the fight, shoot the balloons and then talk to the Gestral.
This battle is anything but ordinary. The Jestral doesn’t take damage from standard attacks or abilities, and it doesn’t attack you. To defeat it, you first need to shoot its orb. After that, a multitude of other orbs will appear, rising into the air. You need to shoot them too—only then will you be able to damage the Under-Jestral. Then, when the stream of orbs stops, it will restore some of its health.
Unidostup
To reach the Unity, you first need to open the talking gingerbread door using a birthday cake. We’ve covered this in more detail in a separate guide. After that, make your way through the new area, “Unity Station,” dealing with standard mobs until you reach the train . This train will take you to the boss.

Many of the One-Step’s abilities will seem familiar, as this enemy is a hybrid of most of the enemies encountered in Verso’s Sketches. This makes some of his attacks easier to predict and counter. When attacking, try to use Earth-elemental abilities, as the One-Step is vulnerable to them. Otherwise, there are no special tricks to this fight—you just need to methodically whittle down his enormous health pool.
