Tiny Bunny Guide: How to Guarantee the True Detective 5 Achievement

Many players are finding that the “True Detective 5” achievement doesn’t count, even though they feel like “Well, this time I did everything right, meticulously exploring every location.” The reason is simple: the game strictly records only those actions performed within a specific storyline (Bunny, Polina, Alice), which you must complete to its conclusion without jumping from one route to another. Any unfinished dialogue, missed items, or exiting to the menu without seeing the ending can completely reset everything you’ve accomplished in the current episode.

To earn this achievement, you’ll need to uncover the full story, collect all the clues, create a proper composite sketch of Harelip, and, most importantly, click each “eye” in Tiny Bunny at least two or three times (once isn’t always enough), as repeated clicks sometimes unlock new dialogue. It’s important to remember: if you click an eye in someone’s room or location, you must complete the entire branch, otherwise the game won’t count your progress.

Many gamers often make the same mistake: they try to get the “True Detective 5” achievement on an old save file, thinking that finishing a couple of missing scenes will suffice. However, the game operates entirely differently—you must start the gameplay strictly from the main menu via the “New Game” function. Old saves don’t account for earlier, uncompleted elements, so you’ll have to start over.

To make your life easier:

  • Before each choice, create a separate save file,
  • After examining the items, it is also best to save in a separate cell,
  • Click on the “eyes” several times in a row to ensure you see all the lines associated with them,
  • Only complete exploration of the branch – follow the chosen route to the very end, until at the end of the fifth episode, after the final scene, you are thrown back to the main menu.

Some suggest it wouldn’t hurt to call all the phone numbers on Polina’s line as a backup—it’s probably not necessary, but it certainly won’t do any harm. It’s also important to remember: you also need to collect evidence and interact with the killer in the relevant scenes to create a proper composite sketch.

Essentially, the key trigger is to explore absolutely every location and click on items at least twice for a specific branch. The police station is often the missing link.

Take your time, save, and approach the game carefully, not missing a single interactive object in each of the five episodes of “Bunny.”

So, again: to earn the “True Detective 5” achievement, you’ll need to be truly meticulous: you must find and collect all four clues, interact with all the “eyes” (interactive objects), and do this through every possible route ( Alice , Polina, Bunny ), including various choices that are mutually exclusive in a normal playthrough. For example, Anton must visit both the garage and the police station.

Therefore, the fundamental rule of playthrough is to save before each choice. Furthermore, even after clicking on an object or activating an action within the chosen route, it’s also best to save your progress. The optimal strategy is to complete an episode before the next one begins, return to the save, and take an alternative route. This way, you’ll gradually explore all the rooms in the game.

Episode 1

The first thing you need to do is explore the house. You need to completely “comb” the hallway: double-click the cross above the front door, the old telephone on the shelf on the right side, the spinning top on the stairs at the left edge of the screen, and the small door that leads to the storage room under the stairs.

In the kitchen, it’s important to first examine all the interactive objects before clicking on Mom so Anton can trick her and lure her out of the room. Double-click the wall calendar, then double-click the newspaper on the table. Next, click the radio on the windowsill several times until you hear a nursery rhyme. Examine the piece of paper with Tikhonov’s number on the refrigerator; Mom won’t let you take it off. Open the refrigerator door and examine the contents of the freezer. After Anton tricks Mom, be sure to return and click the same objects again to see new dialogue options (not for all of them). Now you can also take the piece of paper with Tikhonov’s number off the refrigerator.

Outside, you need to pick up a mitten from a tree—a small detail, but it’s the first of four plot clues in the missing children’s case.

In Anton’s room, you’re required to examine all of the children’s belongings. Double-click the toys on the shelf, the magazines on the table, the drawings on the wall, and then examine the silhouette behind the curtains.

Olya’s room requires attention to three interactive objects: double-click on the piggy bank, the teddy bear located on the bed, and the window.

When the game prompts you to “search” or “tune” the TV, choose to tune it. This will give you a videotape with a report about the Master of the Forest. This is the second of four clues in the missing children’s case.

Episode 2

At the beginning, be sure to agree to take the candy from Alice to get the insert for Romka.

At the school entrance, you should definitely examine the stranger in the jacket (the same killer with the cleft lip). However, this stranger is also one of the interactive objects in front of the school entrance . Besides him, you should double-click the Volga car, the nest in the tree on the left side, and the senior students on the school steps near the entrance.

In the school hallway, Semyon tries to belittle Anton. Be sure to fight him back, otherwise you’ll lose the opportunity to visit other locations.

For the first time, the game will let you choose between Polina and Alice. Before doing so, be sure to double-click the interactive objects in the hallway—the bag with the change of shoes, the paper airplane, and the bucket. Now choose Alice, not Polina!

Once you reach the school’s backyard, you must again double-click the stranger in the jacket peeking around the corner. You should also examine and double-click the squirrel in the tree to the left, the syringes lying under the school wall to the right, and only then examine the writing on the wall! It’s important to touch the wall last, as this will trigger Alice’s appearance.

In the forest, Semyon will bully Anton again, and you’ll have to fight back again by refusing to wear the Bunny Mask. This is crucial to avoid going the Bunny/Lone Wolf route, which will prevent you from visiting certain locations and exploring absolutely everything in the game.

When you head to the garage with Roma and Byasha after the skirmish with Semyon in the forest, keep a close eye on the background to spot the stranger with the cleft lip as they move across the screen. It’s easy to miss, but it’s important—otherwise, you won’t be able to create a proper composite sketch.

Episode 3

Many important events await you in class. First, before you sit down at your desk, examine three interactive objects: double-click the portraits of famous figures hanging above the blackboard, the projector in the far left corner of the room, and the pack of firecrackers on the desk in front of Anton.

The next important detail in the classroom is the moment when Tikhonov turns to the board, throwing the folder on the table . He needs to quickly look at the missing children’s file. He’ll have to do this twice, because only the second time will Anton be able to steal Semyon Baburin’s ring from the folder.

The next important step is to select “Tell” Tikhonov to begin creating the composite sketch. Create the perfect composite sketch of the killer with a cleft lip. To do this, you need to select the following elements: short hair (almost bald), furrowed brow and eyes, a torn lip, a wrinkled forehead, and a nose with a bandage on the bridge.

In the hallway, you’ll encounter Romka, who’s stolen a camera from another student. Anton, armed with the insert he got from under Alice’s gum wrapper, will challenge you to a game of rock, paper, scissors. It’s best to save the game beforehand and play it later. If you win a round, overwrite your save file. If you lose, load your previous save file and try again.

After school, when you return home, you can play with Olya on the console. Winning is optional. Then comes a tough choice: Polina or Romka. Before choosing, be sure to save your game and choose Romka (the Voltron drawing) as your first route.

Episode 4

At the beginning of the fourth episode, be sure to take Byasha with you so you can go to the garage with him and Roma. If he stays behind, you simply won’t be able to get into the garage (only the police station).

Before the fork in the road where you have to choose between “entering the garage” or “going to the police,” be sure to save your game . In the garage, examine the surrounding area in detail and double-click six interactive objects: the vice on the left side of the screen, various tools on hooks on the wall to the left, a pile of junk, boxes on the left, the top shelf on the far wall, and the awning under which Anton believes the car is located.

The next important task is to try to save Katya until the very end. Be sure to save, as there are some nuances here! To ensure the game counts your efforts as a genuine attempt to help Katya, left-click on the word “Save” and simultaneously press Enter. If everything is truly successful, Romka will confirm that you “did everything you could,” and Anton will pull out his camera. Aim it at Katya’s braid in the meat grinder to obtain the fourth and final piece of evidence in the missing children’s case. If Romka doesn’t say this and Anton doesn’t pull out his camera, reload and try again.

After completing the events in the garage, save again. When you see the scene in the “Ice Castle” with Santa Claus and his children in animal masks, refuse the treats twice, otherwise you’ll enter the Lonely Bunny branch and won’t be able to get the achievement.

Episode 5

At the beginning of the final episode of “Bunny,” you need to kill Zhulka – otherwise, the game will not allow you to continue searching everything there is, and you will not be able to reach the best endings.

We save and see Katya off.

Next, be sure to save your game and decide to take Katya home. Katya’s apartment has several interactive objects, but you’ll only be exploring one room. You need to double-click the tape recorder, the dressing table with the mirror on the left side, the dollhouse, and the aquarium. In the aquarium, Anton must feed the fish. There’s a separate achievement for doing this.

Before going to bed with Katya, you’ll have another important choice: take the pills or refuse. Save your game, but don’t rush to continue.

Load the previous save and see Polina off.

Remember which slot this save was in. Load the save where you were choosing between Katya and Polina. This time, choose to lead Polina.

In Polina’s house, you’ll need to explore two rooms—the hallway and the girl’s bedroom. First, examine the hallway. Double-click the following interactive objects: the wall-mounted telephone on the right, the mirror against the wall on the left, the deer antlers hanging on the wall in the back near the entrance, the skis near the door on the right, the door itself on the right, which leads to Khariton’s bedroom, Polina’s grandfather, and the portrait hanging near the front door (on the other side of the deer antlers).

Once in Polina’s room, you need to double-click on three interactive objects – the Sailor Moon poster in the far right corner, the record player on the cabinet on the left, and the piano in the center.

We continue to follow Polina’s route until we see the ending of “The Schoolboy Killer.”

Loading a save in front of the garage/police station (episode 4)

Now let’s return to the relatively old save file we made before choosing between the garage and the police station. This time, head to the police station. Inside, double-click two interactive objects: the gas mask on the chair in the center and the bars of the holding cell on the right.

Load the save after exploring Katya’s room.

The title tells you what you need to do. Select “Accept” to complete the game and see the alternate ending. We’re doing this just in case. Now, reload the save file at Polina’s house if you went to see her off, and agree to take the pills after the Sailor Moon poster collection scene. You’ll see an alternate ending with the same name. Only then will the in-game systems finally register the final action required to unlock the “True Detective 5” achievement.
