At the start of the Arc Raiders storyline, you’ll be tasked with finding and searching a “Baron Hulk.” The “Slumbering Barons” quest may sound daunting, but these massive Arcs are long dead, so there’s nothing to fear. However, finding them can be tricky. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Baron Hulks and how to unlock them.
Where to find Baronial Hulks
Baronial Hulks are large, destroyed Arches. They can be found on several maps, but the safest and most accessible location is the “Dam Battlefields” location. This is the first map unlocked at the start of the game, and it contains three Baronial Hulks. Their locations are marked on the map below.
We recommend visiting one of the wrecks on the left side of the map. The wreck near “The Breach” is located in a very open area, frequently patrolled by a Sentinel turret. Better safe than sorry.
How to open and search the hull
As you approach the Baron’s Wreck, you’ll hear a low roar—a sign that it hasn’t been hacked yet. Climb onto the rounded part of the wreck using the nearby destroyed legs and interact with the hacking point in the center.
Be careful: after opening the wreck, it will briefly catch fire. Jump off immediately and wait for the animation to finish. Once the fire goes out, climb back up and interact with the center of the wreck to loot it.
The wrecks typically drop “Arca Alloy,” “Arca Energy Elements,” and other Arch-related materials. For most players, searching these giants after completing the quest won’t be worth the time or effort, as these materials are easier to find elsewhere.
