Flax Scraps are a resource in Hytale that you’ll need in large quantities, especially early in the game. This material is required to craft many items, such as the basic Iron Axe and Iron Pickaxe. Flax Scraps are also needed to craft specialized workstations, such as the Arcanist’s Workbench, and you’ll need quite a bit of it.

How to get Flax Scraps in Hytale
Flax scraps drop from humanoid enemies in Hytale , meaning finding them shouldn’t be too difficult. These include, for example, Trork Brawlers, Skeleton Warriors, and Archers.
First, I recommend waiting until nightfall, as more hostile creatures will appear for farming at that time. Then you can run around almost all of Orbis (though I recommend Zone 1 for weaker enemies) and start looking for skeletons or other humanoid mobs, simply killing everything you come across. Soon, you’ll have enough Flax Scraps to use.

Another tip for quickly spotting humanoid enemies: many of them carry torches at night. So if you spot a flickering movement in the distance, it’s likely an enemy you can kill for some Flax Scraps!
Humanoid enemies that drop flax scraps (such as skeletons) can also be encountered during the day at various points of interest and camps throughout Orbis. However, attacking one of these large points alone with minimal gear and armor is not recommended—make sure you’re well prepared!
