Where to find Shadowcloth Scraps in Hytale

To craft new gear in Hytale , players will need more than just ore. Cloth scraps and leather are also key components, and shadowcloth scraps are required to craft cobalt armor.

Shadowcloth Scrap is one of many crafting materials. While it can be difficult to find at first, it’s actually quite common if you know where to look.

Shadowcloth Scraps can be obtained by defeating Forsworn in snowy biomes. These enemies are much stronger than regular skeletons or other humanoid enemies from previous biomes, so make sure you have good armor and a reliable weapon before engaging.

Forsworn can mostly be found in camps scattered throughout the snowy regions and tundra. They’re easy to spot on the map and even easier to spot on the horizon. These bases are often filled with various types of Forsworn: fighters, archers, and mages. Be sure to bring healing potions and perhaps a few repair kits. For extra security, you can set up a temporary camp with a bed near the Forsworn base in case something goes wrong.

Each Outcast has a fairly high chance of dropping a Shadowcloth Scrap. But once you’re in their base, try searching chests and other containers to find even more scraps and other materials.

If you don’t want to build a new base near a snowy biome or simply want to reduce travel time for resources, try building teleporters. They allow you to instantly travel between different parts of the map. To create them, you’ll first need an Arcanist’s Workbench. Horses will also speed up travel, but they require some preparation.

Bows are extremely effective in Hytale if you can keep your distance. Forsworn fighters are easy to outrun in close combat, so if you’re having trouble clearing a camp, try attacking from a distance.

Shadowcloth Scraps are very similar to Linen Scraps—they are primarily used as crafting ingredients. Players will use them primarily to craft cobalt weapons, armor, and tools, although this material may also be required to upgrade workstations (such as the Weaponsmith’s Workbench).
