This will open a secret room containing another Abyssal Stone, containing a reward in the form of an Abyssal Artifact and fast travel points. How to get to the Golden Plains Secret Room
To find the secret room, head to the Golden Plains location (Golden Plains sign on the map), near Byron’s estate, and head southeast of the “question mark” until you come across some ruins.
The entrance is blocked by thorny vines. These can be burned with fire arrows, the fire skill (though it’s very difficult to unlock), or with Reflection of Light, but only during daylight hours. Along the way, you’ll encounter small white mushrooms that will try to get close to you and deal damage—avoid them and quickly enter the ancient ruins. Fire traps await you inside, but they’re not as dangerous as in some other areas. The ruins contain three rooms: two empty, and one leading to a larger room with spikes and a taut rope.
Use the flashlight to aim at the handle above, then press CTRL and jump precisely to grab it and descend safely. Enter the partially water-filled room to see the Golden Plains secret room puzzle . There’s another hidden room in the corner with a wealth of treasure —you can also enter it to collect valuable materials for sale.
Solving the Golden Plains Secret Room Puzzle
To solve the puzzle, press the following buttons in any order:
- Grape
- Horse
- Pomegranate
- Bird
- Fish
There are several ways to activate these buttons. You can climb onto the button and use “Palmara Strike,” but this will knock you back, which is extremely inconvenient and annoying. An easier way is to use Axiom Powers: aim at the desired button and use the “Palmara Strike: Transfer” skill, but you’ll first have to unlock it in the green branch of the skill tree.
The correct buttons are determined by the items you find when visiting locations marked with red “Xs” on the wall map. The wall map is located at the entrance to the Golden Plains secret room.
Marked locations on the ground will contain specific objects that indicate which buttons to press: a stable is located somewhere, grenades grow somewhere else, and so on.
