Mouse: PI For Hire Guide - How to Find Gloria in the Mental Hospital

A detailed guide to completing the “Psycho-Secrets” side quest, given by Tammy Stopka before the start of the “Flying Over the Nest” main mission. We’ll explain how to start the quest and take a photo of Gloria in the asylum.

The “Psycho-Secrets” quest is perhaps one of the most challenging in the entire Mouse: PI For Hire game. It’s on par with the “Proper Swamp Fondue” side quest. It’s especially challenging if you try to complete it on your own, without a guide. But we’re here to help!

You can also check out our main guide , which includes general information on side quests, a list of them, and links to each individual article with a detailed walkthrough.

The good news is, you won’t have to make the same mistakes I did. Instead, check out this detailed, step-by-step guide to finding Gloria in the Cheeseville Asylum.

How to start the quest “Psycho-Secrets”

The main quest, which you can complete in parallel with this side mission, is called “Flying Over the Nest.” Once you gain access to “Flying Over the Nest,” you’ll be ready to begin “Psycho-Secrets.” Before starting the main mission, visit Tammy Stopka again in her basement workshop.

Tammy needs your help again, and once again, your task involves a celebrity in Mouseburg. She’s learned that a famous movie star is being held in the Syrvill Psychiatric Hospital, so she asks you to take her photo as proof.

This will activate the side quest, information about which will appear in your journal and on-screen. After that, you can safely head to the Syrvill Asylum.

How to complete the “Psycho-Secrets” quest

At the time of writing, the objectives and markers for this side quest were confusing many players. At a certain point, your objective will change to “Take a photo of Gloria,” and this will happen when you’re in the first block of cameras . As a result, you’ll likely spend a significant amount of time searching for Gloria in this area. However, she’s not there.

Continue through the main mission. Eventually, you’ll reach the talking brain in the flask. In the same room where the brain is, notice a piece of paper in a stack of folders. It depicts four musical notes—CAGE.

Immediately after freeing the brain and acquiring the new “Brainbreaker” weapon, return to the hub with the cells, to the large open arena with the statue in the center. Your next objective in this side quest is located here, but first, eliminate the enemies.

After the enemies are defeated, you’ll be able to interact with the piano, where a skeleton sits on the bench. Get close enough to the keys and find the interaction points. Play a melody consisting of the following notes/keys: C, A, G, E.

After this, you’ll notice a bridge has appeared behind the piano, leading to a new gate. You can pass through it. After the gate, turn right and follow the corridor.

You’ll see Gloria imprisoned in a cell. Although you can’t help her escape, you can take a photo of the actress for Tammy Stopka. Once you get the photo, all that remains is to complete the main quest.

You won’t be able to return to the detective’s office right away. You need to complete the main quest in the Syreville Asylum, after which you’ll be teleported to the “Unknown” level.

Reward

Eventually, you’ll make it back to the detective’s office safely, so be sure to visit Tammy Stopka and show her Gloria’s photo.

As a reward, she will give you 3 more blueprints, which you can spend on additional weapon upgrades at the weapon workbench in Tammy’s workshop.
