Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Guide – Mysteria Ecclesiae. What to do with Wenceslas’s Sorrowful Leaf

You’ll have to resolve this dilemma to complete the final expansion, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. More precisely, the story of Mysteria Ecclesiae will end either way, but the outcome depends on how you handle King Wenceslas’s confidential data.

How to find Albicus records

Albicus will ask you about this before he falls into a coma after being poisoned. And looking ahead, this is absolutely necessary to save the only doctor who can stop the epidemic at Sedlec Monastery.

You’ll also need to find a sacred relic for the “Seek and Find” quest, but we already covered that in the previous guide.

Albicus won’t have time to give precise instructions, but he will mention some scales.

If you talk to his student Benedict, he will make a guess about the scales depicted in the frescoes of the Last Judgment, and if you press him at the end of the dialogue, you can learn that Albicus often visited the abbot’s chapel.

The abbot himself will confirm this if you complete the relic quest later. So, you need to search in the chapel, which is located very close to the monastery’s hospital.

Inside you will indeed find an icon depicting scales at the altar.

It’s not hard to guess that Albicus had hidden his important notes somewhere here in advance.

If you look behind the altar, you will find the mourning sheet of Wenceslas, which is what you need.

After this, two optional quests related to forging this document will appear in your quest log. But are they really optional?

If you’re not afraid of spoilers, you can find the answer right away in the last section of the guide.

How to properly forge a mourning sheet

First, you need to carefully read the mourning sheet itself (or our guide) in order to accurately recreate the essence and style of Albicus’s notes.

You can learn how to forge documents from Librarian Crispin by choosing the option “This concerns King Wenceslas.” Any other option with a skill check will work, but failing it will cost you reputation.

But in reality, you can safely skip this stage and head straight to the scriptorium in the monastery’s basement, where you previously caught the monk Yaroslav writing the forbidden Decameron during the opening quest of the DLC “Anamnesis.”

The entrance to the basement is just near the library.

If you have already forgotten where this secret lair is, you can find it by following the trail of spilled wine.

Once you’ve made your way into this inconspicuous cubbyhole under the stairs, approach the desk and press the interact button to craft the fake notes.

There is absolutely no room for error here, and although in some cases there may be multiple correct options, below I will list those that worked in my case and did not require a skill check.

  • No greeting.
  • Headache and stomach pain.
  • Drink less.
  • Infertility.
  • Healthy lifestyle.

Now you have a fake Wenceslas’s mourning sheet, and if you’ve already obtained the sacred relic, you have everything you need to exchange it for the antidote for Albicus, so you can don your armor (or borrow it from the knight Ludolf) and head to the fateful meeting with Zacharias.

If the document is forged correctly, the outcome of this meeting will be unchanged, but be prepared that it will not be easy to achieve your goal.

Is it possible to not forge a mourning sheet (spoilers)

The short answer is yes. In fact, it’ll be even easier and faster, since you’ll still have to give the recordings to Zakharyash and then fight to get them back.

So there won’t be any problems with the original, but if you can’t recreate the mourning leaf accurately enough, Zacharias will find out about it and decide to take revenge by destroying the antidote, which will ultimately prevent you from saving Albicus, who in turn won’t be able to save the sick in the monastery, as he will lose his sight.

This is the second and worst possible ending for the expansion, so we hope our guide will help you get it right and achieve the good ending of Mysteria Ecclesiae.
