Tiny Bunny Guide – All the Important Choices and Decisions in Episode 2: Playtime

The second episode of “Bunny” is more action-packed than the first: winter break is over, and Anton heads to school, where he’ll encounter his first challenges in the form of Semyon Baburin and his buddies, Romka and Byasha. The protagonist will also meet Polina and might even spot a strange man with a harelip. There are several forks and choices that determine which endings you might reach in the future.

On his way to school, Anton will first encounter a mysterious girl hiding behind a fox mask . After a few lines of dialogue, she will offer him candy, but the real treasure in the pile of sweets in her left hand is a Turbo chewing gum. And there you have it, your first choice in the second episode of Tiny Bunny.

Should I take the Turbo candies and gum or refuse?

As in most cases, there are two possible outcomes. You can either take Turbo gum or not. Here’s what that means:

  • If you refuse the gum , the fox will be upset that you don’t trust her (and really, why would she), but you’ll earn the “Disgusting” achievement. However, despite the wisdom of this decision, it’s the worst possible one. We’ll explain why in the next section.
  • If you agree to take the Turbo gum , Anton will actually eat the delicious gum, but most importantly, he’ll find a valuable Mercedes-Benz car insert inside. At the time the game takes place, children were truly thrilled with these inserts. Anton will be delighted with the find, and you’ll earn the “Sweetness” achievement. The insert Anton receives will be used later . If you make the right decisions, you’ll be able to wager it against the Polaroid that Romka stole from another student after class in the third episode of the game. If you win it in a game of rock-paper-scissors, you’ll receive the camera. The Polaroid itself is used in the fourth episode, when, again by making the right decisions throughout the subsequent episodes, you reach the garage. Several events will occur inside, during which Anton will be able to use a Polaroid camera to photograph the fourth and final piece of evidence needed to convince Officer Tikhonov. Otherwise, if you don’t have all the evidence, you won’t convince him and won’t be able to save yourself at the end of the game. This means that chewing gum indirectly influences your chances of achieving the best endings in “Bunny . “

To get both achievements, save before making a decision, choose the worst option, and then load the save and choose the best one (that is, take the gum).

Before school, be sure to inspect the man.

After meeting the girl in the fox mask, whom Anton eventually names Alice , the boy will head to school. You’ll be standing in front of the entrance, but don’t rush inside, as this is where you’ll need to complete the first steps associated with the “True Detective 2” achievement (there are such achievements in literally every episode of the game).

You need to examine 4 interactive objects, namely:

  • a car parked in front of a fence, in the lower right corner, in the foreground of the screen,
  • a nest on the upper branches of the tree on the left half of the screen,
  • children standing in front of the main entrance to the school,
  • and as for the fourth object, then…

This is a smoking man in a leather jacket. Besides being a must-see for the “True Detective 2” achievement, another, more important sequence is connected to him. In the third episode, police officer Tikhonov will come to the school and ask about the missing children, whether you’ve seen anything suspicious, and so on. If you examine the man in every situation throughout the second episode, you’ll be able to tell the police officer about him and draw a true composite sketch of Harelip. Otherwise, the police won’t have a proper lead and won’t catch the killer, which will likely lead to him stabbing Anton (unless you reach one of the other bad endings). Basically, this is a must-see to have a chance of getting the best endings in “Harelip . “

Should I fight back against Semyon Baburin or put up with it?

During your first day of school, you’ll meet several characters. First, there’s the strict teacher and her daughter, Katya, the class monitor, who will experience several events related to the storyline. Second, there’s the mischievous Semyon Baburin, who will immediately try to put Anton in his place.

As a result of his mocking actions, the player will be presented with a choice, and here one can:

  • Endure . In this case, you’ll earn the “Humiliated and Insulted” achievement, but it won’t benefit the story. This choice permanently locks you into the loner or Bunny path. You’ll lose the ability to choose important future moments, forcing you to drift along with the plot, which will only lead you to a negative ending. You won’t be able to start a relationship with Polina, refuse other humiliating offers, and so on.
  • Fight back . This is the most correct, the best decision you can make in this episode. Firstly, it will earn you another achievement, “Left Crown.” Secondly, it will prevent you from turning to the loner or the Bunny, giving you more choice and the chance to save the characters at the end of the game. Thirdly, if you tolerate Semyon Baburin, two of the three interactive objects required for the “True Detective 2” achievement will remain in the hallway. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons.

To get both achievements, save before making a decision, choose the worst option, and then load the save and choose the best one (that is, fight back against Semyon).

After the events with Semyon, regardless of your decision, Anton will encounter Polina, but either two or three interactive objects will remain in the hallway. We assume you listened to us and fought back against Semyon. In that case, to continue on your path to earning the “True Detective 2” achievement, you need to examine the following in the hallway:

  • a paper airplane lying on the floor in the center,
  • a mop and a bucket standing near the door of the auditorium on the left side,
  • a bag with a change of shoes lying on the windowsill near the window on the right side.

It’s important to examine all of this before leaving the school corridor, choosing Alice or Polina!

Who to choose – Polina or Alisa?

This decision can only be made in one case—if you confronted Semyon Baburin. The next choice determines which storyline the hero will experience next. Each offers its own unique reward and prevents access to the next.

  • Following Polina begins her romantic quest, rewarding the player with the “Knight!” achievement. However, this option cuts off the path to the back schoolyard, where the missing objects for True Detective 2 could be collected. However, it appears that even without exploring the back schoolyard, following Polina’s route still unlocks the achievement. The game requires exploring all interactive objects in the locations you’ve visited. Locations not visited due to your decisions don’t count. Polina feels unsure and asks Anton to accompany her. Along the way, they build a snowman, allowing themselves to momentarily immerse themselves in the tranquility of a winter day. But their idyll is destroyed by local thugs—Semyon Batburin and his gang.
  • If you follow Alice , Anton immediately finds himself in the schoolyard behind the building. This choice earns the “Adventurer!” achievement. This is the most practical and correct option for achieving the best endings in the future: you can still switch to Alice’s path later, but only this option will allow you to visit the backyard and collect everything you need for “True Detective 2.”

Backyard of the school

Once you get to the backyard of the school, you will have to explore 4 interactive objects:

  • that same stranger who is now hiding around the corner of the school,
  • a handful of trash, syringes, cigarette butts, lying under the wall on the right side, below the inscriptions,
  • squirrel on the tree on the left side,
  • inscriptions on the wall on the right side.

It’s important to examine the inscriptions last, as the game will resume immediately afterward, and you won’t be able to examine the remaining objects. We also remind you that it’s important to examine the man himself so you can create a correct composite sketch for the police officer. Even if you follow Polina’s path and don’t reach the backyard, examining the man in both cases will be enough, and Anton will still be able to draw the correct composite sketch of Harelip.

Should I wear a hare mask or refuse when meeting Semyon Baburin?

Regardless of how events unfolded previously, after school Anton inevitably encounters the trio: Semyon, Byasha, and Romka. The boys empty his schoolbag and discover a strange hare mask, the origin of which remains a mystery. Baburin, spitting on it, demands that Anton put it on. If you didn’t resist Semyon this morning, you won’t have a choice, as you’re already following the path of the loner, the Bunny (the same one described above—the game’s outcome is already predetermined, with only a few bad endings available). Ultimately, the hero automatically wears the mask and earns the “Mask Show” achievement.

So you can:

  • If you decide to put on the mask , Anton feels a surge of strength for a second, but it doesn’t save him: he loses the fight with Baburin. The reward is the same “Mask Show” trophy.
  • If you refuse to put on the mask, there are two outcomes depending on who you chose earlier—Polina or Alisa . In Polina’s route, Anton sends Semyon, but the fight ends badly for him—he loses. This earns the “Bad Luck” achievement. In Alisa’s route, Anton not only refuses, but also defeats Semyon in a fight. Baburin is defeated, beaten by his own guys, Romka and Byasha, and the player earns the “Right Funeral” achievement.

Third encounter with a stranger – be sure to check it out!

To finally memorize the appearance of the Harelip killer, you need to inspect him on the way home or to the garage, depending on which line you are traveling on.

If you follow Alice’s route, you’ll have to examine the stranger once: the first time at the school entrance, the second time in the backyard, and the third time when you send Semyon away. Romka and Byasha beat him up, and Anton heads with them toward the garage. The man stands among the trees in the background as the boys move from right to left across the screen. Each of the three examinations is important—miss one, and the composite sketch in Episode 3 will be unavailable (the correct options simply won’t be available).

If you follow Polina’s route, you only need to examine the stranger in two places: near the school and in the background when Anton and Polina are returning home. The man in the schoolyard backyard is simply unavailable in this case.

Knowing the stranger’s appearance will come in handy later: in the third episode, you can tell the police about him, after which a composite sketch will become available—but only if you’ve collected the required number of encounters (three in Alice’s route or two in Polina’s route).

Two endings for the second episode (no choice)

If you follow Alice’s route, after which you refused to put on the mask and beat up Semyon, Byasha and Roma will mention a strange garage, which you can then knock on. Afterwards, Anton will run home, and after a while, the episode will end.

If you chose Polina’s route, and Anton loses the fight with Semyon after refusing to wear a mask, he’ll get home much faster. All that’s left to do is open the door to his bedroom, and the episode will be over.
