“In a Still Pool” is one of 19 endings you can get in the final, fifth episode of the short story “Bunny” (another ending is tied to the fourth chapter). This ending has a bittersweet note: everything seems to end well, Anton even manages to marry Polina, but subsequently goes mad and becomes a true maniac.
General information about the final
To reach this ending, you’ll have to follow Polina’s route from the very beginning of the game. This route will lead you to the desired moment, and it’s important to begin it in the second episode. If you first go to meet Alice and then decide to choose Polina at the end of the third episode, Anton will die at the hands of Romka in the fourth episode, and you’ll experience the “Schoolboy Killer” ending. If you follow Polina’s route right away, she’ll give you an amulet in the third episode, which will save Anton from Romka. Therefore, you can’t exit either through Alice’s route or the Bunny/Loner route.
The presence of evidence in this case doesn’t affect anything, so you don’t need to collect them all (and you won’t be able to, since the Polaroid for the photo of Katya’s braid can only be obtained through Alice’s route).
It’s still important for you to kill Zhulka so you can pay off the beasts in Episode 5. You need to escort Polina; you can’t take the pills. You also need to let the guests in (only Polina will show up) and pick up the fallen cross from the floor (instead of the amulet Anton received from Polina earlier).

Fellow villagers are horrified: “Quiet, polite, always with flowers for his wife. During the events in the school hallway, fight Semyon Baburin to avoid getting stuck in the Bunny/Loner route, then choose Polina, who’s standing in the far open classroom. You’ll begin her route.
On the way home, when Semyon tries to put the bunny mask on Anton, refuse and try to fight back. Anton won’t win the fight, but at least he won’t take the Bunny/Lone Wolf route.

During the policeman’s visit, you can do several things, but none of them affect your chances of getting the “Still Waters” ending. Afterward, in the school hallway, you’ll meet Polina, who will offer Anton an amulet. Be sure to take it to survive the next encounter with Roma.
As far as I remember, in the evening in Polina’s route she will call Anton at home, but you will not have any choice (like in Alice’s route, when Anton draws Voltron and Polina, and you are asked to choose between them).

At the end of the fourth episode, it’s important to refuse treats from the animals, and in particular, from Alice. Twice in a row. Otherwise, you’ll end up on the Bunny/Loner branch!

At the beginning of Episode 5, when you find the axe under the stairs, kill Zhulka. Anton will put some dog meat in the freezer. Afterwards, you’ll head to school . When classes are over, you’ll have a choice between Katya and Polina. You need to take Polina home, not Katya. Play the guitar, and then refuse to take the pills. Accepting the pills allows you to see the ending of “Escaped from a Coma.”
When you return home, let the guests in. It’s Polina. Pick up the cross that fell on the floor, leaving behind the amulet you received earlier from Polina. Then feed the animals some dog meat.
When the heroes run through the forest and stop, you’ll have a choice. Continue praying until you see the appropriate ending.
Anton and Polina get married, and Polina even becomes pregnant. They forget about what happened to Polina. However, completely unexpectedly, on New Year’s Eve, the protagonist goes mad and kills his entire family.
