In Arc Raiders, you’ll find a variety of materials that will help you survive in the wasteland. Almost everything you collect will have a purpose: completing a quest, contributing to an Expedition, or crafting important equipment.
Some items, such as the Microscope introduced with the Stella Montis card, can only be sold or recycled for now. They may come in handy in future Expeditions or events. Here’s what you need to know about this material and where to find it.
Where to find microscopes

Currently, microscopes are only found on the Stella Montis map . To find them, you need to head there. This material belongs to the Exodus category, and to find it, you’ll need to pay attention to several key locations and containers:
- Assembly shop
- Assembly Workshops
- Medical laboratory
- Lobby
Of these locations, the best places to look for microscopes are in the Assembly Facility and Workshops . These areas are filled with white and blue containers that are more likely to contain rare and epic materials.
Also, don’t forget to search all the scattered tool cabinets – they are often ignored by other players, and they can contain good loot.
Keep in mind that the Assembly Facility is a very popular location due to its abundance of materials , so be prepared to encounter other Raiders. If you don’t spawn near this point, it will likely already be looted by the time you arrive. You may have to take the loot from another player.
The Medical Lab is also a great option : it’s a large location with numerous containers and crates. It’s divided into several labs, all of which are suitable for finding microscopes. However, the drop rate here is slightly lower than in the Assembly Shop, as the location isn’t focused on Exodus materials.
Be wary of the Shredders patrolling both floors. These are the toughest ARK robots on the map and can quickly kill you if you don’t shoot their engines. Furthermore, players spawn right at the entrance to the labs, increasing the risk of an unwanted encounter during your search.
Finally, the Lobby is a good place to search if you’re passing by or spawning nearby . Explore the side rooms along the large staircase on the east side of the hall. Desk drawers and black containers sometimes contain Exodus materials, including microscopes.
While microscopes have no direct use, they can be recycled into one Advanced Mechanical Component and three Magnets . Since these materials are often used in crafting, it’s worth collecting microscopes whenever possible. This will help you quickly accumulate resources for crafting or upgrading weapons!
