Enemy bases in Nioh 3 are small locations controlled by yokai. When entering such an area, the number of remaining enemies is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen. Clearing the base yields valuable rewards and can also unlock other collectibles in the area, such as Kodama or hot springs.
Some of these bases are linked to myths (side quests) and main story missions, and can only be cleared while completing those quests. Below are the locations of all 11 enemy bases found in the Warring States region.

Tenryu River (2 bases)

- Recommended level: 6
Follow the road north of Hojo Shrine to find the first base.

- Recommended level: 6
From Hojo Shrine, follow the path southwest to find the second base in this area.
Tokaido (2 bases)

- Recommended level: 8
From the Cave Cape Sanctuary , go through the cave on the left to find a passage to the enemy base. There’s also a hot spring at the end of this base.

- Recommended level: 8
Head east from Ikeda Ferry Shrine to find the second base in Tokaido.
Maysaka

- Recommended level: 19
Once in Maysaka , head west to the Maysaka Post Shrine . Here you’ll find an enemy base that must be cleared during the “Abounding Evil” myth.
Lake Sanara

- Recommended level: 19
Upon entering Lake Sanara, you’ll see a large ship, which is the enemy base. To reach its deck, you’ll need to climb the path to the left, defeat the enemies, and then jump from boat to boat to reach the crates that lead to the ship’s main deck.
Mikatagahara

- Recommended level: 20
From Otsuri Bridge Shrine , head north to reach Mikatagahara and follow the path to find Scampuss . After a short chase, continue north to find the base.
Hamamatsu Hill (2 bases)

- Recommended level: 24
From the Hachiman Shrine Walk in Hamamatsu , head north, but take the path that leads northeast – it will lead to an enemy base.

- Recommended level: 24
This base is located northwest of Hamamatsu Hill . Access to it is only possible during the “Ii’s Souvenir” myth, which can be obtained from Ii Naotara after completing the quest related to Ryotan Temple .
Iinoya

- Recommended level: 28
The base is located west of Iinoya. Since the gate near the Great Ginkgo Approach is locked, you’ll have to head north and go around the western side to reach the second entrance to this base.
Futamata Road

- Recommended level: 35
Heading northeast from Hamamatsu Hill , you’ll reach Futamata Road . The first shrine in this area will be occupied by an enemy base.
