To solve the puzzle among the ruins in Five-Fingered Mountain Valley in Crimson Desert, you need to simultaneously push several blocks and shoot arrows at the statues in the opening niches before they close. The statues will rotate. You need to correctly rotate all three.
Find smaller statues nearby, each holding an object. This object is the clue to the solution. So, you need to look not at the statue itself, but at what it’s holding. From left to right, these should be statues holding a sword, a staff and shield, and a hammer.
Make sure the statue is facing you. You’ll know it’s positioned correctly because its eyes will glow blue.
Location of the Five-Fingered Mountain Valley Ruins Puzzle
The Five-Finger Mountain Valley Ruins Puzzle is located in northwest Pailun. Specifically, you should head northwest from Silver Wolf Mountain (Silver Wolf Mountain on the map). You should look for it right at the top of the mountain. So, when you reach the area with the question mark and the caption “Mysterious Energy,” simply climb up the mountain.
How to solve the Five-Fingered Mountain Valley Ruins puzzle
There are three statues blocked by stone walls that can be raised by moving the corresponding stone blocks along the ropes toward the chasm. After the box has been pushed to its maximum point, climb onto it, draw your bow, and shoot arrows at the sides of the statue to make it rotate.
A regular arrow rotates the statue slowly. A charged shot rotates it faster, but you’ll waste time, and the statue will soon close in. You can also fire while focusing. Keep in mind that the stone block slowly returns over time, so it’s important to shoot quickly and accurately before the wall closes in.
The weapons in the hands of the three statues must match the weapons of the large statue located between the two gates. Another similar puzzle involves three small statues holding objects on the side of stone blocks.
The correct angle of rotation from left to right is:
- A man with a sword
- A man with a staff and a shield
- A man with a hammer
If you’ve rotated a statue correctly, its eyes will glow bright orange. It’s also important that the statues are centered, otherwise the puzzle won’t work even if the angle is correct.
Note: on the middle statue of the three you’ll be rotating, there are two versions of the man with a shield—one with a staff and one without. Don’t confuse them; you want the first version.
Once all the statues have been rotated, the puzzle in the ruins in Five-Fingered Mountain Valley will be complete. Approach the Abyssal Stone to collect the Abyssal Artifact. Since the location is located essentially in the middle of an empty area of this subregion, you’ll also gain a very useful point for fast travel across the map.
