The Abyssal Stone in the Trembling Forest Ruins is a puzzle in Crimson Desert that requires correctly arranging golden frames on a large wheel embedded in the rock. Solving this puzzle requires the “Stab” skill, just like solving the puzzle at St. Galsius’ Confluence and several other locations. Without this skill, you simply won’t be able to insert your weapon into the rotating mechanism, which has no handles.
The location of the puzzle in the Shivering Forest ruins
The puzzle is located in the Shivering Forest, north of the Willow River (Willow River on the map). It’s within the territory controlled by Hernand’s factions. Fortunately, two nearby Void Cores can be used for fast travel, but only if you’ve unlocked them previously.

How to solve the puzzle in the Shivering Forest Ruins
First, players must deal with the two bears guarding the puzzle or lead them away. These bears are formidable opponents, so a well-leveled character is required.
One way is to draw one bear away, kill it, then return to the puzzle and deal with the second one. The Palmara Strike skill is great for taking down larger beasts: it knocks them down and leaves them immobile for a few seconds.

Once the bears are eliminated, approach the three wooden wheels and interact with them as follows:
- Right wooden wheel. Grab the handle. Turn the wheel until the white symbols align with the middle wooden plate. Release the handle.

- Medium wooden wheel. Turn the wheel until the large metal circle aligns with the large white sun. Release the handle.

- The left wooden wheel. All the handles are broken, but don’t worry. Approach the left wheel. Use the “Stab” skill to pierce it with your weapon. Rotate the two metal circles until they align with the two small white markings.

After this, the water will drain from the pool, a niche will open below, and the Abyssal Stone will activate. You’ll be able to collect the Abyssal Artifact from it. The Stone itself will also now serve as a fast travel point.
