Equipment and design

The LAMZU PARO AURORA SE is packaged in a book-shaped box, typical of other LAMZU devices, covered with a cardboard cover that shows the model and lists its features and specifications.

The kit includes a mouse and a 2.4 GHz dongle, a fabric-sheathed USB-A to USB-C cable, a dongle adapter, two sets of glides, a set of grips, and a user manual.

When comparing the LAMZU PARO AURORA SE to the LAMZU PARO AURORA, you won’t find any differences externally. The internals are also identical, from the sensor to the microswitches. The only difference is the presence or absence of an 8K dongle: the LAMZU PARO AURORA SE (where SE stands for “simple edition”) comes with a transmitter with a maximum polling rate of 1000 Hz, while the LAMZU PARO AURORA comes with a dongle with a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz.

Moreover, the hero of our review is produced exclusively for the Russian market—it’s not available in Europe or America. Apparently, LAMZU decided to give domestic gamers the opportunity to save a little money and get a high-performance mouse, forgoing the dongle with a higher polling rate—a feature that’s not really in demand by all gamers.
The model features an asymmetrical body, designed for right-handed users. Its dimensions and shape are suitable for palm and claw grips, and the mouse will be comfortable for medium-sized hands.

The key layout is standard; the left and right buttons are separate from the body and press with a distinct click. The side keys are positioned just above the thumb rest, preventing accidental presses. The scroll wheel is rubberized and serrated, rotating smoothly and almost silently. An LED on the back indicates the battery level.

The mouse’s bottom houses the power switch and DPI switch. The base is solid, without perforations. The screws that allow the case to be disassembled are hidden under the glides, which, incidentally, the user will have to reattach before using the device.
As expected, the new model is well-built: the case doesn’t creak, and the keys don’t wobble. Its light weight—just 48 grams—is noteworthy, which will be appreciated by those who spend many hours with a mouse in hand.
Connection and setup
LAMZU PARO AURORA SE supports USB and 2.4 GHz radio connection.
The gadget can be configured via a web driver , where you can record macros, assign commands to mouse buttons, set DPI values, select the polling rate, lift-off height, time before going into sleep mode, and other parameters.
Considering that the device is already configured for comfortable use out of the box, you will only need to launch the application if you need to set any specific options, such as reassigning keys.
Impressions of use

The Pixart 3950 sensor used in the LAMZU PARO AURORA SE never lets you down – you can play the most dynamic online shooters and MOBAs without worrying about stuttering or lag.
Omron optical switches are designed for long-lasting, double-click-free operation, and the wheel’s optical encoder will withstand intense scrolling through hundreds of pages of electronic documents or thousands of cells in spreadsheets.
The battery provides approximately 80 hours of battery life —enough for a week of gaming, 10 hours a day. The mouse charges fully in about an hour and a half.
The matte plastic and ergonomic shape of the body prevent the mouse from slipping out of your hands during a heated online battle.
The LAMZU PARO AURORA SE delivers excellent results across all parameters – we confirmed this personally, playing a couple dozen CS 2 matches and working with the device in everyday use scenarios, including browsing, messaging, and office applications.
Conclusion

If you’re not chasing record-breaking polling rates, don’t aspire to esports star status , and don’t mind saving money on a mouse, the LAMZU PARO AURORA SE is the perfect choice. It’s a comfortable, lightweight, and powerful mouse that will perform reliably and without any issues.
Meanwhile, if you prefer, you can pay extra and choose the LAMZU PARO AURORA model, which comes with an 8K dongle. During sales, the price for this version drops to the SE version’s level, so you might get lucky too. In any case, the decision is yours alone.
