Ruby is one of several gems that can be found while exploring the world of Hytale . These stones are very useful for crafting various magical equipment, such as staves and totems, so finding them is not worth neglecting. However, finding these stones can be very difficult if you don’t know exactly where they spawn.
To help with this, we explored Orbis and found out where rubies are typically found. Without further ado, here’s how to get rubies in Hytale .
How to get a ruby in Hytale
The Ruby in Hytale appears as a bright red, sparkling crystal and is commonly found in Zone 4 of Orbis , which consists of dark volcanic biomes and islands (shown below).
It can easily be confused with the ore adamantite, which is also red; the difference between the two is that adamantite appears as red veins protruding from the stone, while ruby is a sparkling red crystal.
Ruby can be found in the golden caves beneath the volcanoes in Zone 4.

Rubies are extremely rare in Hytale, but you’re most likely to find them in the strange golden chambers/altars found beneath the volcanoes of zone 4. Here, you’ll need to carefully make your way to the inner base of these volcanoes to find the golden altars containing the gems. Luckily, these areas are easy to identify on the map when you’re nearby (shown above).
