Quarantine Zone: The Last Check isn’t just a gripping survival simulator of managing a checkpoint during a zombie outbreak. The game’s developers filled it with secrets, jokes, and pranks, and even unexpectedly included cameos from several popular video bloggers. You might recognize some of them (though most of them are from abroad).
Skeleton? A reference to DieDevDie.
If you didn’t recognize the bony-handed survivor as the familiar blogger, you’re not alone. He appears early in the story campaign, before you unlock the scanner, so you won’t be able to look under the bag on his head. However, you may have seen his badge on his hoodie on both TikTok and YouTube.
There’s some debate in the community about whether he’s infected or not. Some players have reported getting a “failure” even despite showing signs of infection. If this happens to you, simply exit the game and restart the day. After meeting this character at the checkpoint, you’ll see his name in the “Distribution” section: DieDevDie. He’s a popular YouTube and TikTok streamer. And, as it turns out, DieDevDie is far from the only content creator making cameo appearances in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check. DansGaming
I also met DansGaming, a versatile streamer known for his playthroughs of classic video game series like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, as well as indie titles like Quarantine Zone: The Last Check and Hytale. I had to quarantine him due to a severe cough.
Lightskin Nightmare
Lightskin Nightmare also appears, wearing his signature hoodie with his name and face. Fortunately, he showed no symptoms and immediately went to the survivors’ block.
Kirira Cooper
I also met French streaming superstar Kirira Cooper. The first thing you notice is her bright makeup, and only then her contagious symptoms…
Godenot
There’s also Brazilian YouTuber Godenot, who appears in his signature knitted knight’s helmet. He wears it during his streams for his four million subscribers. Don’t forget to check the “Distribution” window and keep an eye on the names of the survivors—you might recognize someone familiar we might have missed.
BaityBait
BaityBait also appears in the game, wearing a stylish floral shirt and carrying a bag full of contraband: a machete, a hacksaw, and a pistol.
Crazy Dave from Plants vs. Zombies
From game streaming legends to iconic video game characters, the developers of Quarantine Zone have added Crazy Dave from Plants vs. Zombies to the list of the luckiest survivors.
The 4 original survivors from Dead by Daylight
Speaking of survivors, four original survivors from Dead by Daylight also make cameo appearances. They can randomly appear at checkpoints. The first one I encountered was Dwight Fairfield, but you might also encounter Meg Thomas, Jake Park, and Claudette Morel.
