The game takes place in 2026 , 28 years after the events in Raccoon City. However, approximately five years have passed since the events of Resident Evil Village .

How old is Leon Kennedy in Requiem?
The game doesn’t explicitly state this, but we can roughly estimate Leon’s age by piecing together several clues. First and foremost, Leon’s birthdate is July 31, 1977. This means he was around 21 years old at the time of his debut in Resident Evil 2, which included the tragic events at the police station and Raccoon City in general. The events took place in 1998. Several statements from Capcom before launch implied that Requiem takes place in 2026, and several other in-game documents also support this.

Now, using simple arithmetic, if we take Leon’s age from RE2 and add 28 years between the second game and the events of RE9, we get 49 years. Since we know exactly when we observed Grace ( fall 2026), this means Leon already celebrated his 49th birthday in July 2026.
