The countdown has begun for Samsung’s new flagship smartphones. The Galaxy S26 series will be one of the most ambitious smartphones on the market. New information continues to emerge regarding the technologies that will be used in the series. Most recently, Samsung announced the Exynos 2600, the processor that will power the Galaxy S26 . Expected to take the series to a completely different level in terms of performance, the new processor also stands out as the world’s first processor with a 2nm manufacturing process. So, what features stand out in the series?
What are the specifications of the Exynos 2600? Is it better than the A19 processor?
Based on the ARM v9.3 architecture , the new processor is the first to utilize 2nm manufacturing technology. This means a much higher transistor count and a significantly more efficient processor. Looking at the processor’s technical specifications, we see that it features a 10-core series.
Instead of 8 cores, the new generation boasts up to 10 cores . The fastest core in the series is called C1 Ultra . This core is said to reach speeds up to 3.8 GHz , which is also the processor’s boost speed. Besides this, the series includes three C1 Pro processors running at 3.25 GHz and six running at 2.75 GHz . The 10 cores are distributed in this way. Based on this, it’s possible to say that the minimum clock speed is 2.75 GHz.

The new series is entirely focused on performance, as the efficiency-oriented cores offered in the Exynos 2600 series are absent. This new core architecture delivers a 39% CPU performance increase compared to the previous generation Exynos 2500 processors .
Now let’s talk about the graphics side. As always, the integrated graphics unit has been enhanced. The model features the Xclipse 960 GPU . With up to twice the computing power, the ray tracing performance of the image processing unit has also been increased by 50%. This means that ray tracing support in games will be presented much more realistically.
The new unit also features ENSS support, specifically Exynos Neural Super Sampling technology. Presented as an AI-based image upscaling technology, ENSS enables higher frame rates in games, even when ray tracing is enabled.
The Exynos 2600, which will deliver 113% higher AI performance, will consequently allow phones to reach their peak AI capabilities. We will see much better results in camera and image processing features. We understand this clearly from the shared promotional video. Details such as clearer facial recognition in images will stand out.
How is the camera support?
Of course, these improvements also enable new steps in camera support. The processor, which will use the built-in ISP (Integrated Image Processing Unit), can offer camera support up to 320 MP . It also provides the possibility of shooting at 108 MP with zero latency .
This series also features support for 8K 30 FPS and 4K 120 FPS video . AI-powered VPS, DVNR which reduces noise in low-light images, and APV codec support are other key features of the Exynos 2600 processor that will stand out in terms of camera capabilities.
Other notable features include the new HPB ( Heat Path Block) heat transfer technology, 4K 120Hz HDR10+ display support, and LPDDR5X RAM support.
The Exynos 2600, with all these features, will be available at the very beginning of 2026. We will see how this model, which we expect to be the Galaxy S26 processor, performs when compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite 5.
