Enchantments in Minecraft play a key role in your character’s survival and development. They not only enhance your combat skills but also help you explore the world more effectively. One such effect is the Agility enchantment, which directly affects your character’s movement.
In this article, we’ll take a detailed look at this enchantment, explaining what it does, how it works, and how to use it effectively.
What is Agility?

Agility in Minecraft is an enchantment that significantly increases your walking speed while crouched. This effect is especially useful against the Guardian, especially if you simply want to explore the area without wasting time walking.
How to get Agility in Minecraft

“Agility” is a new type of enchantment in Maine, and as such, it can only be found in chests in the new city. Unlike “Weightlessness,” it can’t be found in a book, much less purchased from the librarian.
Chests containing enchantments typically appear on the lowest levels of abandoned city caves, where Guardians spawn, so we urge you to exercise extreme caution when obtaining such a scroll.
What items are suitable for enchantment?
Agility is an enchantment exclusive to armor, specifically your hero’s leggings, and can therefore only be applied to the following items:
- Diamond Leggings ;
- Leather leggings ;
- Chainmail greaves ;
- Golden Leggings ;
- Iron Leggings ;
- Netherite Leggings .

Diamond and netherite are the best materials in the game, so we recommend using this rare enchantment only on armor made from these materials, as it significantly increases your chances of survival. While they’re not easy to obtain, the wait and effort will be worth it.
Maximum level of enchantments

Agility has only 3 levels: the higher the level, the faster you can crouch. There are actually levels 4 and 5, but they can only be achieved through commands. Each level increases your movement speed by 15%; thus, at the final enchantment level, your crouching speed is equal to your normal speed.
- Agility 1 – walking speed percentage 45% ;
- Agility 2 – walking speed percentage 60% ;
- Agility 3 – walking speed percentage 75% ;
- Agility 4 – walking speed percentage 90% ;
- Agility 5 – walking speed percentage 100%
How to use the Agility enchantment

Unlike the “Weightless” enchantment, the “Agility” enchantment doesn’t require an enchantment table. Simply place the book and the piece of equipment on the anvil, and for a certain amount of experience, the leggings will gain the desired effect.
Enchantments in Minecraft undoubtedly play a vital role in survival and character development. They not only enhance your sense of belonging in the world but also give you an advantage when exploring it. One such enchantment is the “Agility” effect, which increases your character’s movement speed while crouched. We hope this article was helpful and provided you with the information you needed.
