The Combination Key is an item you receive for solving the animal figurine puzzle in the school. This is the main puzzle of this location and must be solved to continue playing Tormented Souls 2.
The key has three uses—two story-related and one optional. Go up to the director’s office in the lobby on the second floor and carefully examine the combination key. To open the archive, configure it by matching the symbols in the correct sequence, using the clues on the board to the left:
- Symbol of a woman
- Cross
- Moon
Before moving forward, prepare for the boss fight —save your progress and be prepared for battle. Proceed along the shelves, avoiding the tripwires, and collect the painkillers. Descend to the fork in the path, move forward, and collect Joab’s School Janitor’s Diary #5. Head in the opposite direction, avoid the traps, and enter the hidden room.
After defeating the boss, pick up the pig mask, return to the archives, climb the stairs, and pick up Anna’s Album #5. Enter the principal’s office again. After the cutscene, take the elevator down to the basement, go to the janitor’s room, and use the pig mask on the TV. This will remove the seal from the school’s front door .
Return to the computer lab and defeat the acid-spitting enemy. Examine the combination key: the board contains three symbols that must be used to configure the key:
- Sun
- Heart
- Male symbol
The cabinet opposite the board, which opens with a key, contains a recoil spring. Install it on the hand cannon to reduce recoil.
Leave the school through the lobby and head into the school district, then back to the shopping district. Zombies will appear at the school exit ; you can simply avoid them. Approach the Church gate and examine the combination key. There are three drawings on the pavement near the gate that need to be interpreted and matched with the symbols on the key. Configure them from top to bottom as follows:
- Heart
- Yin-yang
- Star
Opening the gate will unlock the “Keykeeper” achievement.
