The main charm of co-op survival simulators is that they’re the perfect place to bring new friends and test your friendships. In Valheim, you’ll also become brave Vikings who must prove to the gods their right to enter Valhalla, adding an extra layer of epicness to the experience. If you or someone else in your group has been playing Valheim for a while, you can skip the boring tree-chopping section and get straight to the adventure, though you may need to find your save files to do so.
On Windows, Valheim saves are located in this path:
- C:/Users/[Username]/AppData/LocalLow/IronGate/Valheim/
But keep in mind that the data about the character and worlds are stored in different folders: characters and worlds, respectively.
If you can’t find the AppData folder, don’t worry. Sometimes it’s simply hidden by default, and to fix this, simply check the “Hidden items” box in Windows Explorer or press Win + R and enter %AppData% in the window that opens.

Linux:
