This resource is mined in the dangerous conditions of the volcanic layer, where temperatures soar and lava flows freely through caves.
Volcanic layer and its inhabitants
To find ash cloth scraps, you need to descend underground into the volcanic layer—a reddish zone with abundant volcanic rubble and open lava rivers. This layer isn’t at a critical depth, but you’ll have to pass through a preliminary layer of ordinary rubble before reaching your destination.
The volcanic layer is home to two types of hostile mobs that drop the necessary material. Molten Skeleton Warriors are distinguished by their black bones and flaming swords, while Molten Skeleton Mages wear black bones paired with red robes. Both enemies have a chance to drop Ashcloth Scraps upon death, and a decent supply of the material can be accumulated fairly quickly by methodically clearing the zone.
