Looking for all the upgrades for the Psycho Force Bomb in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond? The ability itself unlocks quite late in the campaign, but it’s incredibly useful. It can be used to blow up otherwise insurmountable obstacles and barriers.
Please note that the Psycho Power Bomb is a power suit ability you obtain in the Great Mines region. To claim it as a reward, you must defeat the Omega Griever boss. By default, you only have three charges, which can be replenished by finding resources or saving at save points. With our guide, you can get five additional upgrades to help you roll around in a ball and blow up everything in your path.
The Great Mines – Psycho Force Bomb Upgrade
- Subzone: Level 3 – Lower Pit
- Location: This is likely the first upgrade you’ll receive for the Psycho Power Bomb. Immediately after completing the Great Shafts, you’ll be able to return to the depths with new abilities. Once you reach Level 3, look back and burn away the slime with your Fire Shot. Then, roll through the tunnel and blow up the rubble with the Power Bomb.
Furious Green is an upgrade to the Psychic Force Bomb.
- Subzone: Quiet Glade
- Location: This item can be found in the very first area of the campaign. There’s a statue of Lamor leaning against a large tree. Destroy it with a Psychic Force Bomb.
Fire Pool – An upgrade to the Psychic Force Bomb
- Subzone: Lava Lake Bridge
- Location: You probably noticed the huge stone slab near the Lava Lake when you first entered the Fire Pool. Once you get the Super Missile in the Great Shafts, return here and destroy the barrier. Ride through the air ducts as a Morph Ball, avoiding the lava. Then, when you reach the other side, swing across with the Psycho Hook. There’s a device there that shuts off the lava flow in the air ducts, allowing you to collect the upgrade.
Valley of the Sun – Psycho Force Bomb Upgrade Map
The Valley of the Sun, a semi-open play area, contains a couple of upgrades for the Psycho Force Bomb. Be sure to mark the area with the Recon Bot to see other shrines and rewards in this location.
Valley of the Sun, Psychic Force Bomb Upgrade #1
- Subzone: G.F. Fragments
- Location: Located on top of the G.F. structure in the eastern part of the map. To reach it, use the Psycho Hook, then blow up the container with a Power Bomb. Be aware that the Varmis boss is nearby. You must defeat him to obtain the mech part.
Valley of the Sun, Psychic Force Bomb Upgrade #2
- Subzone: Camp Tokabi
- Location: This upgrade is given to you by Tokabi at his camp, which is located just outside the Furious Green. However, you’ll need to meet him three times in other locations in the Valley of the Sun before he appears here:
- The first meeting is just outside the Fire Pool.
- The second encounter is north of the Volta Forge.
- The third meeting is at G.F. Oblomki in the northern part of the map.
- Please note that Tokabi may not appear until you (a) progress further in the story or (b) restart the game.
