How to get manure in Hytale

Manure is a natural resource that can be obtained from the following animals: pigs, cows, sheep, moorhorns, horses, rams and chickens .

The extraction mechanisms vary:

Horses, pigs, and sheep defecate naturally. Simply find a herd in the wild and collect the piles they leave behind.
Sheep and chickens have a chance to drop manure when you use Crude Shears (crafted at the Farmer’s Workbench) on them . Sheep also drop wool, and chickens drop white feathers.
Cows and mosshorns can produce manure when milked using a Wooden Bucket (also crafted by the Farmer). In return, you’ll receive a bucket of milk.

It is worth noting that sheep, cows and moorhorns can also defecate naturally, but chickens cannot.

The best animals for collecting manure
