How to Repair Items in Hytale and Restore Them to 100%

How to Repair Items in Hytale and Restore Them to 100%

Knowing how to repair items in Hytale is useful, if only to get rid of the annoying message about broken items in your inventory. The game hints at the possibility of repairing items, but doesn’t explain how exactly. The process is simple, but like many things in this Early Access game, it’s hidden in the menu. You’ll also need to craft special workbenches to craft repair kits. Here’s everything you need to know to restore your gear to 100%.

The option to craft a repair kit is located in the tools section of your workbench , the same place where you craft axes and pickaxes. It’s the item in the upper left corner that looks like a silver ingot.

To craft a repair kit, you’ll need the following resources:

– Two scraps of linen fabric – dropped by humanoid enemies.

– One iron ingot – created in a furnace from iron ore.

– One Light Leather – crafted at a tannery stand from Light Hide.

So, to craft a repair kit, you’ll need the resources listed above, and to obtain them, you’ll need a furnace and a tanning stand, if you haven’t already. The good news is, a furnace can be crafted from any stone or log, so it’s easy to build (and if you’re already using copper to craft better gear, you should already have one). A tanning stand, on the other hand, requires stone, logs, and that same light hide needed to craft leather. So, head to areas with common animals, like plains or forests, and attack small creatures like sheep or rats—the author got the hides by killing boars.

Once you have a furnace, a tannery stand, and all the necessary materials, you can craft a repair kit from the workbench menu—and then it becomes clear that the silver ingot is actually a small toolbox.

To repair an item in Hytale, you need to equip a repair kit in one of your quick slots and use it. This will open a list of all the items in your inventory that require repair—simply select the item you want to repair. This action will consume the repair kit and restore the selected item to 100% durability. When you have the resources, carrying a stack of repair kits is much easier than carrying spare tools, so gather linen, leather, and iron whenever possible and build up a supply!
