The organ transport container in Resident Evil Requiem is part of a much more complex puzzle that will allow you to retrieve artificial lungs for a corpse containing its organs from the examination room in the east wing of Rhodes Hill Medical Center. There are instructions for opening the container, but the diagram may be confusing and the clues may not be so obvious.
As mentioned above, the box contains artificial lungs, which, like the heart, are required to obtain a Level 2 ID bracelet. To access the area containing the container itself, you’ll need a Level 1 ID bracelet, and to unlock the box, you’ll need the instructions from the Chief Researcher’s office (although you can use our advice alone). In this guide, we explain in detail how to find the clues and solve the puzzle yourself.
How to find instructions for an organ transport container
In fact, you’ll find the instructions before you gain access to the container itself (if you follow the chronological storyline). The required document is hidden in the chief researcher’s office (second floor of the medical center, east wing), where you find a plot-related item—Solar Quartz.
After obtaining the Solar Quartz—the second of three needed for the door in the central hall—you’ll also find a leather-bound notebook inside the safe. Examine it in your inventory and open the clasp to find the files “Spencer Research 1” and “How to Open an Organ Shipping Container.” Says it all!
Now you can return to the first floor, through the waiting room, and into the central hall. Place the Solar Quartz in the appropriate slot so it doesn’t take up inventory space. There’s only one quartz left, which you’ll need to find two missing ID bracelets and an organ to obtain.
Location of the organ transport container
You explored the West Wing at the very beginning of the level, but there are still several doors left unopened. For example, two of them can be opened with a level 1 ID bracelet. You’re interested in the grate just past the living room and kitchen, with a blue panel. A Common Infected will appear near it. Deal with it, open the grate, and proceed into a previously unexplored corridor.
To the left is the caretaker’s room, and to the right is a door leading to the second floor office , archives, and a mini-kitchen. On the wall opposite the entrance to the stairwell is a plaque documenting construction work and the garage at the end of the hallway.
Follow the corridor past the caretaker’s room and enter a large garage at the very end. You’ll find several parking spaces covered by roller shutters. Pass them and the barriers, and near the end of the parking lot, you’ll notice a truck with an open back, revealing a large refrigeration chamber . The back contains an organ transport container. Examine it, turn it around, and find a removable panel on the back wall.
Solving the organ transport container puzzle
Use the file found in the notepad when you obtained the solar quartz and follow the diagram:
- Turn the dial to the Hand position.
- Raise the lonely black switch on the right side to the middle (there is a corresponding mark there).
- Flip down the yellow switch marked “5”.
- Flip down the yellow switch marked “2”.
- Turn the dial back to the Auto position.
If something doesn’t work, use the reset button. Once this sequence is successfully completed, the container will open, and you’ll be able to retrieve the artificial lungs—one of the two organs needed to obtain a Level 2 ID bracelet.
