The introduction of the VI-O-LA motorcycle in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond added a whole new level of speed to the game, especially in Sol Valley. To fully utilize this potential, you’ll need Power-Up Tanks.
What are VI-O-LA boost tanks?

The green gauge on the VI-O-LA fills as you move. When it’s full, you can activate a boost to reach top speed and perform a quick drift that will damage nearby enemies. Boost tanks solve the problem of conserving a single charge.
Each tank you find adds one additional charge to your supply. This means you can build up multiple full bars and use power-ups in a row. Important: These items do not increase VI-O-LA’s top speed, but they do allow you to maintain it longer.

How many tanks are there in total?

There are only three VI-O-LA Power-Up Tanks in the game . Finding them all will grant you a maximum of four Power-Up Charges. All are located in Sol Valley.
Where to find each reservoir

Reinforcement tank No. 1

The first reservoir is located on the western edge of Sol Valley , approximately halfway between Fury Green and Volt Forge. It’s not initially visible—you need to activate a special frame to reach it.
Activating this frame requires a Fire Shot . Obtain it by returning the Fire Chip to Mils, then head to the designated location.
Reinforcement tank No. 2

The second reservoir is located almost opposite the first, on the eastern edge of the map , north of Flair Pool.
As with the first instance, activate the frame to materialize the item. This requires an Ice Shot , which can be obtained in the Ice Belt.
Reinforcement tank No. 3

The final tank is located directly south of the Chrono Tower , almost directly adjacent to the force field surrounding the tower.
The frame here is activated by a Thunder Shot , which is obtained from the Power Core in Volt Forge.
Once you’ve found all three reservoirs, you’ll be able to roam Sol Valley with a full supply of power-ups.
