Crimson Desert Guide: How to Complete the Dragon Stone Room Ruins or What to Do in Thinker's Meadow

Among all the puzzles scattered throughout Pivell, the game world of Crimson Desert, the riddle of the “Stone Dragon Room” is considered one of the most difficult.

You’ll find it near the Graymane camp on Wolf Hill (if you’ve already established it in Chapter 3). To solve the riddle, you need to not only find a way into the room of the same name, but also correctly rotate three disks with different images. Below is everything you need to know about solving this puzzle . It’s also known as the Cursed Sword Riddle.

The location of the puzzle in Thinker’s Meadow

The puzzle room is located approximately 700 meters south-southeast of the town of Hernand, but it’s much easier to get there if you have the Graymane camp on Wolf Hill unlocked. From the camp, follow the road southeast until you come across a huge hole in the ground. Incidentally, the search area itself points to the Meadow of the Thinker, which is empty save for a huge stone in the center. In fact, in the Meadow of the Thinker, hidden in the thicket, is a teleport panel that can be activated by bringing the panel itself here. This can be done after you unlock the cauldron, which can hold large objects from the Abyss. One panel generates every 2-3 in-game days beneath the quarry, which is associated with a side quest in one of the houses in Hernand.

Jump into the huge pit to discover a mural on the sheer wall to the north. Use the Visione helmet to view the memory left here, then interact with the tree image on the mural to open a passage to the puzzle room. Simply push the part that most closely resembles a hidden door.

Quick solution (without searching for frescoes)

In fact, you don’t need to look for clues to solve the puzzle. Simply arrange the disks correctly using the information we’ll provide below.

Go to the three disks in the center of the room and turn them as follows:

  • Sun disk : the sun and moon should be facing north.

  • Scorpion Disc : The claws should face northwest.

  • Disc with spirals : the large spiral should be in the upper right sector.

The discs must be adjusted as precisely as possible, otherwise the mechanism may simply not work. Once everything is set correctly, a door will open at the far end of the room, revealing the Abyssal Stone.

Approach him to receive the Abyss Artifact and knowledge, which, when used (directly through your inventory), will reveal the location of all hidden places around Ernand.

Detailed solution to the puzzle

In the center of the room is a recess with three decorative discs. They can be rotated, but it’s initially unclear how exactly they should be arranged.

Examine the eastern and western walls of the room—they depict a large map with three red V-shaped marks. These marks point to real locations in the open world . You need to determine their exact location—it’s the area southeast of Anvil Hill on the map, near St. Galsius’ Sanatorium.

Important : The map in the room is not necessarily oriented strictly north, but the distances and locations generally correspond to the real world if you mentally overlay it on your in-game map.

Fresco with the sun and the moon

It’s located east of Anvil Hill, approximately 350 meters northwest of St. Galcia’s Sanctuary. Follow the cliff—near a small stream, you’ll find an image of the sun and moon connected in a spiral.

Fresco with black spirals

Situated slightly northeast on the same cliff, it features two black spirals: a large one in the upper right corner and a small one in the lower left.

Fresco with a scorpion

Walk about 400 meters southwest along the same cliff. There you’ll find an image of a coiled scorpion, its pincers pointing left.

Having memorized the images from the frescoes, return to the room, go down to the disks, and rotate them to match the images on the cliff walls. After this, the puzzle will be solved, and you can collect your rewards.
